I felt like I just wasted 5 minutes. I understand fun interviews, but come on. Nothing about band history, album, tour, or anything. I really think its fun to have that type of interview, but you can get a little more info also. Anyway, thats my 2 cent.

    2. Manuel | June 19th, 2008 | 3:37 pm

I thought it was a bit ridiculous, myself.

    3. Kimberly | June 19th, 2008 | 4:54 pm

You’re totally entititled to your opinions. I just personally hate sitting down and reading interviews jam packed with the same thing I can find in another interview with the band. If I were to ask when the band started and do the whole ‘intro into becoming a band thing’ I would have defeated the purpose of doing the interview as a whole. There’s history and tour/music updates on every bands myspace quite frankly. Just my opinion =]

      :-)

Kudos to you for doing something different. Seriously.

    6. Bump | June 19th, 2008 | 9:21 pm

ehh, still lacked creativity, and had goofiness. So yes we do have our opinion. Good job with going for originality.

    7. grant | June 19th, 2008 | 11:56 pm

it seems more like flirting with the band than conducting an interview.

    8. Kimberly | June 20th, 2008 | 5:55 am

Lol…Umm…flirting with the band? No, sorry I’m a photojournalist…not a groupie. There’s a VERY BROAD line that seperates those two.

    9. Matt B | June 20th, 2008 | 6:19 am

yeah, that definitely doesn’t sound like she was flirting

i’m kinda split. i liked the different questions, but i would have liked more substance. however, i know how hard it is to come up with different, original questions that do have meaning, from the interviews i’ve done. so props to kimberly for making this interview entertaining. i liked the energy, and you sound like a fun person.

    10. grant | June 20th, 2008 | 3:33 pm

kim said: “You’re totally entititled (sic) to your opinions.”

i’m entitled to my opinion. so anyway, since i’m entitled to my opinion i say it looked like flirting based on what i read. there was no depth, meaning, or substance to what was said. the best part of it was when they talked about the meaning behind their name so kudos for that. i’m just offering constructive criticism is all. maybe more meat instead of filler next time around.

    11. Kimberly | June 20th, 2008 | 11:33 pm

It’s weird how people get so worked up about things that aren’t even serious at all…Ok…So I ask a band some silly questions and now it’s a matter of whether I can supply substance in an interview or not…? Seems pretty childish to me. It just shows how uptight some people can be. If the interview isn’t your style then why bother getting so worked up about it? And for the whole flirting thing, that shouldn’t even need to be addressed seeing as I don’t take it upon myself to flirt with people by asking them whether they’d like to hang out with aliens or robots more…Unless this is your definition of flirting…then in that case we have bigger issues then whether I can conduct an interview or not…Here would be some of my sarcastic humor since I can’t honestly take someone seriously if they believe that is “flirting”…

    12. grant | June 21st, 2008 | 12:00 am

so…you’re saying now that i’m not entitled to my opinion?

forget i even said it looked like flirting. i read your interview wrong.

i don’t really have a problem with the fact that it was different. i gave you props for the name thing as well. i just personally prefer learning more about a band than whether they would like to hang out with aliens or robots. some people may like that sort of thing.

and for someone who said we’re all entitled to our opinions, you seem to be the one who is uptight about things. i’m done arguing about it now though because it’s pointless. just a matter of differing opinions.

    13. Phil Recognition | June 21st, 2008 | 10:05 pm

you could read the bands history, album info, tour info online if you took the time to search for it. i thought it was a good interview because it wasn’t all business. she was walking with them to taco bell for petes sake! how many other interviews have you heard of like that! i thought it was awesome keep it up
