I am currently listening to the new Sophia album in it’s entirety and I must say I am gasping for breath because of how incredible it is. I can’t believe this is the same band who brought us “My Hands, My Greedy Hands” two years ago. What a total makeover. This is the same band but their sound is so much more refined and polished. They have truly tightened as a unit and it’s quite evident upon listening to this. You are all in for a real treat when this album releases. I encourage you to go out and buy it from us or from Speakerheart.com for $5 March 11th. If you appreciate the progressive sounds of bands like Trenches or even the “Fire” disc from Thrice, you’ll love this. It has melody and that is a big plus for me as I am an avid listener of music that has some sort of melody in it, yet this is still just as hard as they’ve always been. That’s about it, you need to buy it bottom line. I’ll get back to my Sophia listening party……….
