    Facedown Fest East Coast

Great news for us east-coast people! Facedown Records have announced that there will indeed be a Facedown Fest East Coast in Bowie, MD on September 29th. Nothing else has been confirmed but as usual we will keep you in the know.

    Kingsdown

This isn’t what I remember Kingsdown sounding like.  Check out the 3 new untitled tracks they have for 2007.

    Booth and Cornerstone California

I know I previously mentioned having a generator stage at Cornerstone California but I am really unsure of how to organize the whole thing. Plus I dont have any sponsors that would cover the cost of the stage. No money=no stage. BUT, I will have a booth there this year and we’ll be selling both Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 2 and Vol. 3. Yes, I’ll have a Volume 3 done in time for Cornerstone California. I might be sharing this booth with Phil of True Stance Records if all goes as planned. So what else should I sell at Cornerstone? What would you like to see from us there?

So who is appearing on Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 3? Well it’ll have new recorded songs from Pennylane, My Epic(hopefully), Jesse David, Canefield Hero (David Tamaoka of Pennylane), Cries Hannah, I Am Alpha and Omega, Take This Hand, The Burning Is Here, Farewell Down, Safe Haven, Arkeo, Avner(hopefully), Moorland, All The Day Holiday, Of Military and Mathematics(hopefully), Credible Witness, Darkroom, and more to be announced.

New bands added to Cornerstone California

Haste the Day and Dakoda Motor Co. have been added to Cornerstone California. Check the website out for further details. I am sure there will be a big update to the site once Cornerstone IL. is over with. Maybe Dogwood could play this fest?

Speaking of Dakoda Motor Co., Jesusfreakhideout.com has posted a lengthy interview with Derik of the band here. New album in the works!

    Video: At Home With Chris

I’m still trying to figure out this whole posting the video clip actually in the post concept so until then, here’s a video of Chris from Underoath and what he does at home. I got to meet him a couple weeks ago and he was a super rad guy. Looks like he’s having seizures sometimes though when he’s slamming himself onto those keys during the concert.

    Thrice leave Island Records

Thrice have parted ways with Island Records. According to Punknews.org, the band gets to keep the current record they are working on. They are currently looking for a new label home.

    Galacticast

Has everyone watched Eleventyseven’s Galaticast yet? If you haven’t, go here for episode 1 to see Matt & Caleb riding Jonathan in space.

Video: Cookbook & Uno Mas “Trash Can Bingo”

    Elms update

“THE ELMS TO ENTER STUDIO IN EARLY JULY!
Owen, Chris, Thom, and Nathan of THE ELMS will head back to the studio in early July to begin work on material for their next full-length album. No release date has been set for the album, but the band reports a catalogue of nearly 30 new songs, and is now beginning the process of recording and narrowing the list down to an album’s worth of music.
THE ELMS will be chronicling the goings-on in studio via their MySpace profile, much like they did during the recording of their last album, “The Chess Hotel.” Stay tuned to the MySpace site HERE for writings, progress, photos, and video from the studio beginning July 6, 2007.
More details regarding the next album will be released continuously and candidly from the band themselves… So stay tuned daily to TheElms.net and MySpace for all the latest!”
