Put your knee in the dirt……..
I’ve decided to do it. I’m going to conduct interviews with former members of “Classic” bands to get their input on the scene past and present as well as letting us know what they’re up to today. Some members/bands I have on my short list include Unashamed, Focused, Plankeye/Fanmail. Those are it for now. If I think of some other bands or someone gives me some contact info, I’ll do an additional interview. These will be really good reads guaranteed.

James Cameron = Moron
Apparently James Cameron hasn’t read the same Bible we all read and base our Faith on. According to this article, James is releasing a documentary that challenges the belief we share in the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ even going so far as to say that Jesus had a wife and son. I swear, if people believe in this junk, the end times aren’t far behind. I guess James is a savvy businessman and he knows what will generate press and ultimately more cash in his pocket. Whatever, I just had to vent.

The Almost on Radio?
I was cruising in the car yesterday on the drive home from work and I noticed a familiar song come on over the speakers. I took a double take at the screen and sure enough it was The Almost. This is on the main alternative sirius satellite station that plays all the big bands. If it’s on there, other major stations aren’t far off. If this project takes off and is bigger than Underoath, what does that say for the future of our favorite metalcore(or whatever you want to call Underoath) band?

Movie News
Disney is planning on sequels to all their big budget franchise films like Narnia (Three more sequels), Pirates of the Carribean (Fourth+), National Treasure (Third and Fourth) and the soon to be made Prince of Persia game to movie.
Jerry Bruckheimer will develop the next Disney franchise, Prince of Persia, which many of you know as the hit video game.
Rambo 4 will open in May of 2008 with both Slyvester Stallone and Sam Elliot starring.
De Niro will be returning to the “Fockers” franchise with a third movie. It will be titled “Little Fockers”.
J.J. Abrahms will be directing the next Star Trek film after all. The film will follow the younger years of Captain Kirk and Spock.
Talk has already begun on a followup to the smashing hit, Ghost Rider. (I saw it and I thought it was weird).
Warner Bros plans to develop a “Justice League” film for theaters. How can they do this with the Superman and Batman franchises just taking off?
The script for Sin City 2 is already finished.
The Incredible Hulk will film in Toronto Canada this summer for four months. The cast has yet to be announced but will be directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter/Unleashed). The film will release in U.S. theaters June 13th, 2008.
James Cameron’s followup to Titanic, Avatar, will release in theaters Memorial Day Weekend 2009. Signourey Weaver is attached to star.
Indiana Jones 4 is also coming to theaters in 2008. That seems to be a banner year for movies so far.
Ghost Rider took the top spot at the box office again this weekend with a take of $19million putting it at a total of $78million so far. It was a weird film but cool at the same time. Does that make any sense?

New Haste The Day Track
As I mentioned last week Haste The Day posted “Stitches” on Sunday night. This is the second song off of their new album “Pressure The Hinges” which sees release on March 20th. I’m sure the hardcore kids will be upset but don’t worry the whole album isn’t this light. It does show off much more variety in sound though. Review is coming soon.

Guitar Hero III?
Read a little info and get a podcast from the creators of the Guitar Hero franchise here. “….explains why the game won’t be out until April 3rd.” What the heck? I have no idea what systems number 3 will be on but I assume it won’t be on the 360 considering number 2 is just hitting that system in April. [gamesradar.com]

Burnout Game News
Not only is “Burnout Dominator” coming to the PS2 and PSP in March, but it looks as though “Burnout 5″ will be hitting the streets in September on both the Xbox 360 and PS3! That’s rad. Does anyone know what the soundtrack will be on Burnout 5? In the meantime you can buy the soundtrack for Burnout: 3 on Itunes. Yeah it’s kinda old but it has a few cool songs.
