    Until June is heading out on tour with The Transit War and Sound The Alarm during Feb-March.  The dates/details should be up soon. This all builds up to their new self-titled release coming March 20th.

    Kids In The Way have finished their new album and will be heading out on tour with Inhale Exhale in mid-February. Tour dates should be posted soon.

    Anberlin Video Update

    Nate from Anberlin has added a new video update which you can watch here. Make sure to check the new tracks up at the link. They also have a new album site up which, when the full site is up, you’ll be able to get special things on when you buy the album.

    Facedown Podcast

    You should go check out the new Facedown Records podcast (iTunes or download). It features a long  interview with Eric, who is one of 3 vocalists in xDeathstarx. Make sure you subscribe as well.

    Flatfoot 56 Finish Record

    Flatfoot 56 have wrapped up recording, mixing, and mastering their new album, “Jungle Of The Midwest Sea“. The album will release May 15th on Flicker Records. The band has landed a few good tours and will be touring extensively during February and March and the festival season. Dates are at the first link.

    Daphne Loves Derby Post New Track

    Daphne Loves Derby have posted a brand new track called  “Stranger You And I“. The song will appear on their forthcoming album “Good Night, Witness Light” which releases March 20th on Outlook Music.

    Gotee Records have signed Our Heart’s Hero.

    Classic Christian metal band Neon Cross have decided to create an album focusing on metal versions of hymns (as well as some live recordings and b-sides).

    Tooth & Nail Signs A Dream Too Late

    I was randomly going through my friends on myspace and listening to the band’s I didn’t recognize. Well, I was as surprised as you are now, when I saw A Dream Too Late listing they were signed to Tooth & Nail. I checked the member pages and they also said that, as did their website news section. Apparently they just recently wrapped up the recording in Nashville. No more word for now. Thoughts?

    Facedown Records have put up their site for the annual Facedown Fest. You Californians are lucky for being able to see a Point Of Recognition reunion.

    Cry of the Afflicted to Solid State

    Cry of the Afflicted have officially signed with Solid State Records. Read the band’s myspace page for further updates on recording and such. Plus the band also has a brand new song up as well, check it out and leave your comments.

    new Solid State band, Derek Webb albums, sales…

    Solid State Records have just signed Cry of the Afflicted. Looks like they’re trying to really get away from the stereotype held by most metal labels.

    Derek Webb’s new albums, Zero One (acoustic), and Zero One (remix), have been released today. They both feature new takes on ten songs from his previous albums.

    Want to stock up on Facedown releases? Well they’re currently clearing their warehouses, and therefore offering a “grab bag” of 15 albums for only $15.

    The Militia Group have added the video for the Umbrellas‘ song “Again & Again” to youtube.

    I just rediscovered my old Hangnail album Facing Changes. Now there’s some good old Tooth & Nail punk rock.

    Woodale Signed?

    Woodale is apparently signed to the label/management company, Silent Majority Group. The band will be recording their new full length with Aaron Marsh of Copeland soon. Look for a summer release.

    Raging Storm Record’s act TO LAODICEA has a new song up on their myspace page. They guys aren’t bad.

    I, Sleepwalker with Beneath the Sky

    Harvest Earth Records own I,Sleepwalker, will be joining Josh’s favorite band Beneath the Sky (Victory Records) for a 10 date tour starting February 16th. For dates and stuff, click the link above.

    Sleeping Giant Officially on Facedown Records

    It’s official, Sleeping Giant have been added to the Facedown Records roster. Their debut full length “Dread Champions of the Last Days” will be out in stores this spring on the label. For some tunes, head over to the band’s myspace page and check them out.

    Also, does anyone know if Every New Day broke up? Are they still playing shows? Any other info?

    Anberlin Review

    There is absolutely no news to report to you this morning. Yeah, it’s bad. So I thought I’d post a link up to the first Anberlin review of “Cities”, on the net. How they got this cd, I have no idea. I sure would have liked one though.

    Oh and I find it humorous that The Chinese Express all of a sudden have like 100 votes in our poll. I think someone is sending out myspace bulletins. ha. Oh well. If you haven’t voted in our unsigned band poll, please do so today. Let your voices be heard for what your favorite band is.

    Reese And His 5 Iron Friends

    As announced before on IVM and seen on Soulfest’s website Reese Roper is indeed playing Soulfest 2007. Apparently (from what I hear) Reese is bringing a few of the old members plus some additional members.

    FIF Member’s New Groups

    For all you Five Iron Frenzy fans Leanor (Ortega) Till is in two different bands now. The first, Nathan & Steven, is with a whole slew of people including her husband. The second is a project with only her husband called His Love Fellowship.

    The Gentleman Homicide Find New Vocalist

    The Gentleman Homicide have found a new permanent vocalist. Ian filled in for the band on bass during the Handshake Murders tour and has now been tapped to do vocals. The band is currently looking for a bass player as well so get in touch with them if you are interested.

    Maybe You Haven’t Heard: Broken Scarlet

    Check out the band Broken Scarlet who are from far away Australia. I suppose that probably rules out any U.S. tour dates in the near future.
