Absolutepunk is offering an exclusive stream of The Tide’s new EP here.

    Selectric

Selectric Records has been going through some “transitions” as a company recently. Apparently they’re back on track somewhat and have announced that the long awaited album from Pivitplex will release on Halloween.

Don’t Ever Give Up On People

Head over to XXXChurch’s myspace and read a blog detailing how a now ex-porn producer recently got saved.

    Spacepilot Live

Spacepilot have posted up a LIVE performance of their song “I Know” on MySpace.

    New Label

There’s a new label on the scene which has made some really good signings. The label is I Witness Media and is based in California. They have released a xDeathstarx 7″ and also a debut from Plague: The Red Letters (features current & ex-members of Sinai Beach and xDeathstarx). Coming soon are releases from Sleeping Giant (current & ex members of xDeathstarx) and Impending Doom. This is a label to watch for sure!

Check out Life Alas a death metal/grindcore band from California.

RetroActive Records have thankfully begun to sign bands and release new albums instead of re-releases of Out-Of-Prints. They’ve currently signed Bride and Ultimatum and we should see new albums soon.

    Tour Changes (Again)

The upcoming Days Of Reckoning Tour, Pillar’s headlining trek, seems to continually be changing. First Dead Poetic dropped off and were replaced by Day Of Fire. Now it seems, Kids In The Way are no longer on the tour and have been replaced by Decyfer Down. The current tour lineup is: Pillar, Day Of Fire, The Showdown, and Decyfer Down. After these changes the tour is definitely more suited to hard rock fans.

    News

Ben is leaving The Apathy Eulogy. His last show with them will be this Sunday.

Click here to watch Denison Witmer sing “Little Flowers” for Invisible Children.

I’ll be going to see Copeland, Daphne Loves Derby, and The Hush Sound tonight. Leave in the comments if you want me to review this show.

    Albums this tuesday…….

    Albums out this Tuesday:

    Skillet “Comatose”
    Jonezetta “Popularity”
Olivia “Back to Friends Where Summer Never Ends”
Avery Pkwy “You Have the Roadmap”
    Long Live Logos “Flashing”
He is Legend “Suck Out the Poison”
Some of the pre-orders you have placed for a few of the albums above will not be shipped until I have the product in my hand which will be Monday or Tuesday hopefully. There may be a slight delay on the Avery Pkwy cds. If you have any questions about our store policies or FAQ, please see this section, it’ll answer all your concerns.

Are there any others that I am missing?

    The Wedding

The Wedding will be entering the studio in October to record their new full length for Brave New World Records. It’ll be released sometime next year.

    Another Side Project

Kevin, vocalist of The Wedding, has some side project songs up. No this isn’t taking him away from The Wedding. The group is called Midway, and I recommend you check them out and download 2 of the tracks there. Do not expect similar sounds.

    More Recommendations

Please check out the band Hey Hollywood. I have no doubt you’ll be hearing more about them soon. They have an EP available and some sweet looking t-shirts. Why are you still reading this, click that link!

Also, I checked out the Spoken tour last night and I really want you guys to go out and attend these shows if you can. The four bands on the tour (Sullivan, The New Ending, and After The Tragedy) were all entertaining and need your support. I will have a review up soon for that show.

    Flowerdagger

AJ Babcock, bass player for House Of Heroes, has a side project with his fiance. It is dubbed Flowerdagger and apparently are demoing for Gotee. (I suppose that could mean Mono Vs. Stereo tho). I definitely recommend checking them out.

    Next in Line “Unplugged”

The first two tracks of the Next in Line “Unplugged” ep are up. Click here to download these for free.

Underoath and Norma Jean in the store….

I am now selling Underoath and Norma Jean in the webstore. Click here.

Help starving children, then go see Anathallo

World Vision has teemed with EMI to offer the WOW 2007 compilation to anyone who can donate $20 or more. More information here. (This low amount of $20 is enough to feed six starving children in East Africa.)
Anathallo is going on a headlining tour with Page France and the first twenty people through the door each night get a limited edition tour poster.

    News for Thursday

Underoath need your votes for their new video “In Regards To Myself” on Fuse TV, vote here.

You can watch the new video from Starflyer 59 here. (It works with Macs and PCs)

    New Music

Remember the rapper Knowdaverbs? Well he’s shortened it to Verbs, as some of you may know, and now has a brand new album (available here). Three new songs are available for listening at the link.

Seven System put up a new track called “The Cause” from their latest release.

Good interview with Johnny Lang can be read here.

    Canadian Update

Scarlet Halo played their last show just over a week ago, but released their new CD at the farewell show. Check out 2 of the new tracks here. Metalcore kids.

I shouldn’t even tell you that all of these kids are still in high school, because it’s audibly of little importance, but Moria are a progressive death metal band which is like a mix Dream Theatre and Opeth.

The Public released their debut EP a little while ago, but I failed to mentioned it. They play poppy punk-rock in the vain of Jawbreaker. Check out some of the songs at their MySpace page.

Dreamquest recently released a concept EP that has a different plot each time you play the songs in a different order, much like a choose your own adventure. Read up about this idea here and better yet, hear a new song called ‘The Fuse That Burned’ at MySpace. If you like power-metal, unorthodox music, good stories, or bands who know not to take themselves entirely serious, check them out. Produced by Jean Paul Peters (Comeback Kid, Figure Four, Every New Day), this album represents a band that is bound to impress.

    Breaking news….

For the first time since 2003, I am going to be carrying label releases in the store…again. I’ll be carrying Facedown Records, Strikefirst Records, Metal Blade (As I Lay Dying), Hand of Hope Records (Every New Day). I’ll only be carrying a few featured titles from each label but it’ll be good stuff at a great price. Now you’ll be able to once again get everything you want in one place. If things sell well, I may take the next step and get an account with a bigger distributor for even more label product (T&N). So once again, I am making the Indie Vision Store a priority and bringing it back from obscurity. I will also make it my extreme effort to continue finding good unsigned bands and feature them rightly so on the website.

Another edition of the ever popular digital sampler.

One Eleven Records have a digital sampler at purevolume featuring songs from Rookie of the Year, This Day & Age, The Spill Canvas and more.

    Denison Witmer

Denison Witmer has posted a new song to myspace from his upcoming album “Safeaway” due out October 17th on The Militia Group.

Jonezetta, Relient K, Saosin is good!

Relient K left an update on their website regarding the new album and why it was pushed back. Read it here.

Not related to this site but I’ll post it anyway because I feel like it:
Go buy the new Saosin, it’s awesome………

    Indie Vision Music….

Have you ever wondered what Indie Vision Music looked like back in 2000? Well here you go. If you search through some of those early years, you may even find some graphics of our early ads and shirt designs. How many of you reading this site right now, ordered from us back then? I’m just curious.

Dogwood is coming to Texas on October 28th. One of the few times you’ll ever see them out of state.

I’ll repeat this again….Olivia has a new song up on their MySpace…..Order this album from us here.

Kevin and Jess of Chandelle will be producing/recording the new Pennylane disc. The last Pennylane disc in case you were wondering, is now out of print and I no longer have copies. You can however download the album for free right here.

I posted up the second Next in Line “unplugged” track titled “Blacktop”. You can download it here.

Myspace has joined a voter registration drive. Apparently you can register to vote directly from THIS profile. What do you think about this?

Last Tuesday have a new video blog up on Monsterpod

$1 shipping in our store and a FREE Spacepilot cd to anyone that places an order….

    A Few Reviews

These aren’t brand new, but I figured I’d kick off my return by listing a few of my most recent reviews for The Music Appraisal.

    VeriChips in your backyards……..

“VeriChip Announces Sale of VeriTrace™ System and 700 VeriChips and Inserters to the States of Florida And Hawaii” Hmmmm…..

This isn’t the only piece of news I found today. Get this, the Florida Company (VeriChip) wants to insert a chip in every service man and woman. Don’t believe me? Read here.

This is an old news link but I thought it was significant. Verichip Corp. partnered with Orbcomm back in 2004  “to be its provider of satellite and telecommunication services for applications to be developed for use with the world’s first implantable radio frequency identification (RFID) microchip, also called VeriChip™.”

You guys and gals want a fun filled video to watch today, well just click here.

Now all we need is a good science fiction movie. ha.

    Chandelle News

Mandee (bass/bgv) has parted ways with Chandelle. The band is now on hiatus but the two members Jessica and Kevin still plan on making music together on into the future. (They are married after all). Read the blog here. They recently posted a newer track off their album to MySpace so make sure to check it out here. You can still buy the new Chandelle full length from us here for only $8.99.

    Nevertheless

Nevertheless (the new Flicker band not the old punk rock band) has an e-card up for their new album. If you dont own this album you seriously need to visit the store and buy it. I absolutely love it.
