    mewithoutYou

Any opinions on the new track found here? I personally am not a fan of this group at all, but I’m in the minority with that opinion probably.

I like it, but it is very different from their previous musical endeavors…

    2. Blair | August 31st, 2006 | 4:38 pm

i guess i am in the minority as well. They are at Harvest Moon Fest. in Edmonton Alberta Canada this year and that is one of the reasons i am not going to be there this year.Underoath is here and a month after Norma Jean is here.I will go to those shows instead

I like that there’s even more variety to the vocals. But I was still very happy when the familiar shout came back into play. I’ll need to listen to the full album and let the whole experience grow on me. I’m excited to hear it.

I like it. Reminds me a little bit of Death Cab for Cutie. The new album should be pretty sick.

I personally like the other track, Nice and Blue pt. 2, better than the newly addressed one. Aaron sounds funny when he tried to sing, its hauntingly pleasant, the new CD will be quite phenomenal and just groundbreaking for this newly found/created genre that mwY is a part of.

      not a fan

I love mewithoutYou with a fiery passion. They are so amazingly lyrically that even if you don’t like the music (which I love) you could sit and read their lyircs and have it still be better than most bands out there.

      i like it alot.

I’m biased… mewithoutyou is an entity now and i’m happy with whatever they do, because aaron and his lyrics have become a person, and I wouldn’t stop hanging out with someone if they started talking about different things.

Aaron can’t write music like he used to, he’s a totally transformed dude, so. It’s pretty cool. it’s rare that you see music that so personally reflects a person, and to be able to see that change in him. So. I’m all for it.

    10. Joel | September 1st, 2006 | 8:51 am

and by “write music like he used to” i’m not saying skill i’m saying style.

    11. brandon | September 1st, 2006 | 10:11 am

Lyrically they are great but I’m sort of with Josh on this one. They’ve always been the band to me that has like a couple good songs on each album and then the rest is filler. Maybe the new one will be different? Who knows.

    12. Joel | September 1st, 2006 | 8:42 pm

We arn’t talking about a minority here anymore. An interesting turn of events.

While I do think that Aaron’s lyrics can stand on its own, I feel like I get into them more because of the way he presents them vocally. this may be just me but o well. And I also love their music
