Listening to: Through Darkness (Renascent)
[ Let me be the first to say that the new Brandtson is definitely way different. Definitely moving further into the indie scene. I’m sure it will sell well but I like the older stuff is better, lyrically and musically. Since October, is releasing an EP which is a precursor to an upcoming full length. It comes out March 28 but you can order now. Check out tunes and info at the link. If it helps, it’s produced by Travis Wyrick and sounds really good. Watch for these guy’s to sign to a bigger label soon…. Super catchy and radio ready. Confide, an L.A. based metalcore outfit, has new songs up and a “new EP coming soon”. Check out Dignan and also check out their sweet website. Also a side project from guitarist and backup vocalist Nate, can be found here. Thankfully, even though we are losing a great band in Forever Changed, they are blessing us with one last full length before they go. They just finished recording, ‘Chapters’, and it’s being mastered right now. You can pre-order here. It will only be available online or through Itunes (no stores!). Zombie Gutz finally has a website. Check out their music too. Anah Aevia needs a drummer, read for info. Someone needs to do this because we need more tunes from them. A new Transition song is up at their purevolume. The album, ‘Get There’, releases on Floodgate Records May 9th. The new album will also be featured on Absolutepunk on “The Leak” starting April 15. While searching for cheap cds I checked IndieRockShop.com and found that they’re pretty much clearing house. They have great deals on Copeland (In Motion w/ bonus EP for $9!!!) so go there and buy their stuff. Within has posted a recent live video. SRE Recordings, home of Disciple, Flyleaf, The Rocket Summer, Jonah 33, and others have signed Decypher Down. Go here to check out new songs from their forthcoming debut album ‘End Of Grey’ will be released June 6th. Another hard rock album releasing June 6th is the sophmore release by Day Of Fire. And yes, yet a 3rd new hard rock release hits on the 6th, this one is from RED. I think it’s great to see talented hard rock groups made up of Christians emerging on the scene. It’s encouraging to see radio capable stuff. Go here to watch the video for “Dueling Pistols Never Fire Blanks” by Besieged. Until June has a new ep for you to buy at their website or shows. They have a full length coming out on Flicker Records this summer. If you haven’t heard them go here. Facedown Records Store has posted a sweet deal. Order the new albums from Jesus Wept, Anam Cara, and Kingston Falls (which all drop April 11th) for $26 and you’ll get a free Strike First Records t-shirt. I wish the shirt wasn’t white though.
