Nifty Tom 50 has ended…….Spider Man 3
[In- you might remember them news.....According toNiftytom50.com, the band has sadly ended. Two villains have been announced for Spider Man 3: Venom and Sandman. OOOOOHHHH AHHHHH…*crickets* Sometimes I feel like saying negative things about a particular record company or band but I bite my lip. Sometimes self censorship can be a good thing? Ohhhhhhh but if only I talked………I’m a good boy and I promised my mommy I wouldn’t slander. ha. So what’s up people? Today I feel like chattering for the heck of it. Well it’s a HOT day here in Orange County and I’m sweatin’ through these jeans. I guess there’s some backyard fires burning out of control but I havent seen them yet. (sorry to those of you with yo roof on fiya). So……..um…. In-the Strange News department…..A pastor has received a nice shipment of Viagra in the mail. . I’ve reached a new low but hey, it’s news right? I think so? Maybe? Well back to my unfortunate and otherwise dull, workday. I mean I don’t mind working on machines but there are days where it just gets old…and dirty. Boo whoo right? Yeah whatever. Back to work I go…back to work I go.. New Ester Drang in January
[With it's various members currently on tour as the backing band for Sufjan Stevens, Ester Drang will wait until January 25th to release their upcoming release, Rocinate, on January 25th by way of Jade Tree. The guys from Oklahoma will tour in support of the release with Styrofoam for much of November. September 28th, 2005
New Norma Jean Song + US Tour
[Norma Jean will have a new song called “ShaunLuu” featured on the soundtrack for the Showtime televison series “Masters Of Horror” which hits stores October 18th on Immortal Records. Other bands featured are: Thursday, Fear Before the March of Flames, Andrew WK, Mudvayne, and more… Norma Jean will also join As I Lay Dying on their first headline tour of the States in support of their new album “Shadows are Security”. The song is not per-say a “new” track as much as it is an early verson of “I’m Content With Losing” featuring some different lyrics. Kingsdown / Switchfoot charts / and more…
[Here is a great band to check-out. From Batesville, AR Kingsdown is self-described as "Indie Rock," but they sound to me like a blend of Waking Ashland and Taking Back Sunday. Do yourself a favor and check them out: Switchfoot is currently sitting in the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 Album charts with their new disk “Nothing is Sound.” Reguardless of how you feel about Switchfoot, or this new album - you have to admit that this is an exciting thing for Christian rock music. Anathallo are currently finishing the writing for their new record. No date has yet been anounced, but should be released on Selah Records sometime next year. I for one can not wait.
