You can view the new Man Alive video directly at their website, click here

While we’re on the subject of compilations, who’d like to see a new Indie Vision Music comp.? Maybe Hearts Bleed Passion 2? Bands would have to pay but they’d get free cds and a load of promotion. If you readers think this would be a grand idea, email me by clicking on my name above. It’s just a thought.

What’s up with these things anyways?

[VirginiaBeach hardcore band, Bloody Sunday recently let go of their bass player Bones. Apparently touring wasn’t for him and he decided to leave. The band says there are no ill feelings towards him at all, and they are all still good friends. Bloody Sunday is now looking for a new replacement bassist. Click on the link to get the whole story.

Now if you would excuse me, I have to practice playing my bass because I have a band to try out for :)

    Brandon Speaks!

[Okay so we have some new news here at Indie Vision Music. We've got a few new reviews just posted including one I did for the band Fireflight. Great cd by the way.

A super cool Stavesacre interview is being filled out by the band and will be posted here shortly. I’ll be putting more together in the next month or so.

Some new tracks have been uploaded and posted under “Hot Downloads”. One from Zeus to Jupiter and the other from Stavesacre. Plus I fixed all of the links for the Dismissed, Next in Line, and Pennylane albums. Apparently the songs didn’t download and were not working for probably a month or more. So now it’s all fixed and restored to working order. Download those albums and enjoy the free tunes.

Lastly, I would like to welcome Quincy to the news team here at Indie Vision Music. Our news team now totals 5!! I am hoping that it will keep our site fresh and updated throughout each day. Oh yeah, I posted a new featured band: THE HOTSHOT FREIGHT TRAIN. You like it? I encourage you readers to visit their MySpace page and give them a listen. The band features three former members of Joey’s Loss. Remember them? Yeah boy!

That’s it for my news post of the day. Yeah I know it’s not officially informative but it makes for a good read am I right? Maybe? Well a small fraction of you might enjoy it, hopefully.

    _Brandon_Jones

I am staying with IVM, onto the news!

[On to the "gist" of this post, the buttah, the sauce, the GRAVY! (the intensity?)

Well… my pal Chuck posted about new Chasing Victory tracks a while back, and let me tell you first hand, this new stuff is GOOD, the CV guys let me listen to the CD a little bit over at Sonshine Fest (which they rocked the hazouse down on the HM Stage!) and I was liking it and it is NOT going to be like an extension of their old EP, be on the lookout!

In other news, my fellow Minnesotans, Mainstay, has signed with BEC Recordings Congrats my boys!

    New flavorful sounds?
Amittai Rise Surf Rock with a pop urgency and a reggae influence.
    Of the Son Poundingly good!
Freshmen 15 Pop Punk/Power Pop Rock
Denise Hearn Honest, slightly gritty, beautiful singer/songwriter music!

I have more flavorful sounds for a later date and more news as it comes!

    God Bless!

    Len
P.s. Light up the message boards, go check out IVM’s store, and check back!

Purple Door Festival updates and Mourning a loss

[ Purple Door has announced the bands that will play the Rock For Life stage. List includes (in this playing order) Blessed By a Broken Heart, House of Heroes, Still Remains, and xLookingForwardx. The entire schedule seems to be set up as well. So be sure to check out the full schedule and come on out to the great state of Pennsylvania and rock out!

Please also email Len and tell him to stay, flood his email box telling him to pop a squat and post some news! Better yet pray for him, because that is what he asked us to do.

    Acceptance, Fbombs are lame…….

[I was visiting Wal Mart yesterday (yes how sad it is) and I noticed that the band Acceptance are on the soundtrack for the movie STEALTH with their track “Difference”. Save your change and spend it rather on Acceptance “Phantoms” that released back in April on Columbia Records.

I apologize to all of our supporters and fans for selling a product that has blatant vulgarity on it. If you have the cd, you know what I’m talking about. I took it out of the store now and I’m sorry to anyone that was offended. F bombs are lame and childish, grow up.

Dismissed are putting the finishing touches on their new ep. The track on MySpace is just a rough pre-production track. You’ll hear the new songs soon enough.

Lastly, we are welcoming a new reviewer on the staff by the name of Austin. Welcome him and say hello. We are also adding another News Poster in the next day or so. Yes, Indie Vision Music is going full force and you can’t stop us now. I’ll be hopefully writing some reviews for a big print mag in the coming months…stay tuned.

    New signing

[ Twelve Gauge Valentine has signed with Solid State Records. The band plans to tour with Mortal Treason & War of Ages starting August 10th. Listen to them here.

    Welcome Cory to the team!

[I'd like to welcome Cory (xbeaconx) to the official Indie Vision Music Team. He will be keeping you all informed of the latest Hardcore and Metal music news. Everyone say hi to him by clicking on his name!

    News is back!!

[Finally we have fixed our news section and it is fully functional again. Sorry for the lack of updates, it was due to website problems and not user lack of knowledge, though we do lack that sometimes ;) Look for a bunch of updates from Chuck and Len during this week to catch us all up on the latest in music news.

We have a webstore in case you weren’t aware. Just click on “Store” at the top of this site and you’ll enter it. We have quite a few indie titles to choose from and the sales help keep this site floating above water. So if you want to help, please pick up a cd or two.

Lastly, I have finally reactivated our newsletter list with a different company. You’ll all start receiving news blasts soon. If you haven’t signed up yet, look in a previous news post and add your email address. Winners of the Sides of the North contest will be getting their cds/buttons within a week so look out for those. If you get one, you’ll know why ;)

That’s all for now, keep checking back for continous updates and other whimsical wonders.

I know Star Wars mania is over but in related news,Japan gave away 2,000 R2D2 dispensers as a Pepsi Contest for ROTS.

In related news, have you seen some of the toys at the Star Wars store? Hey, I want a Vader watch. Dude, a remote control R2D2!!

The PS3 is being touted as more expensive than it’s predecessor. Kind of sucks but you know how supply and demand works.

Ha ha, I think this is hilarious. A new company is selling Talking Bible Dolls.Just pull a string and hear your favorite scripture from either Jesus or Moses. I want the Jesus doll for fun. Click Here to listen to the samples. This and the Jesus action figure make for great playtime. Okay I know I’m being sarcastic but on serious terms, I’d buy one for my baby when we have one.

I hate to be a jerk but this site is a little scary…..“Scholars have debated this question for centuries, and opinions vary widely”. Yeah and some Bible Scholars have nothing better to do with their time. Color shouldn’t matter.

    Happy 4th!

[ Across Five Aprils announced they have to cancel the remaining dates of their current tour because on their way to Winston-Salem N.C. their transmission went out and they had to have the van and trailer towed back home. The Hotshot Freight Train have posted another track off their recent ep, on MySpace. Click Here to listen

In case any of you were curious about the old Indie Vision Record Label and album sales, here is a short listing of the most popular albums that were released. (The majority of sales were albums sent directly to the bands, but it all works out the same). This will disprove any rumors.
