Chandelle now in Los Angeles….New Man Alive
[One of the most promising new bands to hit the music scene happens to be a band by the name Chandelle. They were formerly from the island of Kauai in Hawaii. They just moved to Los Angeles, CA. and they need some booking assistance. If you’re in a band or friends of a band, be sure to contact these guys (and gals) at their website (click name above for direct link).
The band just posted up a few new tracks they’ve recorded and you can listen to them here:
Man Alive has just relaunched their website and it looks fantastic. Click here to check out the goodness that is Man Alive.
The Unfolding (formerly, Josiah) has posted up a brand new track on their MySpace page. Click Here to Listen.
Dismissed is recording a new ep in a few weeks at Love Juice Studios (Taking the good with the Bad, and “Self Titled” ep). It should be ready in a month and a track will be posted to this site shortly after. Stay tuned for more news on this amazing group. P.S. Dismissed are highly regarded as one of the most promising and talented group of musicians on the music scene front. Expect big things from them in 2005. If you’re a label just know that this band has the “It” factor down.
That’s all for now. Chuck (IVM News Reporter), I hope you feel better and have a smooth recovery from surgery! I’m getting closer to that dream Mustang I’ve been eyeing the past year. Hopefully just a few months more and it’ll be mine. Or not? I’ve certainly had the ever revolving lineup of accident prone and engine trouble vehicles. This time will be better right? Let’s hope so. Is any of this news related in the least most?Certainly not but I thought I’d drop in a few cents for the heck of it. I’m definitely fond of foolish blabbering. Anyway……….

MXPX E-Card…Altar Boys Concert!
[View the E-card for the upcoming Mxpx album “Panic”, click here
Altar Boys are reforming to play a special show with The Choir, Undercover, and Crumbacher on August 19th at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA. Details from the Altar Boys website:
“August 19, 2005 at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA.
Undercover, The Choir, Altar Boys, and Crumbacher to perform.
Twenty years ago, in 1985, Broken Records saw the release of albums by four trendsetting alternative bands who would forever change the face of Christian Music. Long before Switchfoot, Underoath, Third Day, and Skillet, these artists were stretching the limits placed on them by an industry seemingly unable to move forward. They broke through, broke out, and ripped apart the standards that are to this day, still being BROKEN.
Take Two Productions is pleased to present a concert event featuring the best alternative Christian bands from the 1980s. With Undercover, The Choir, Altar Boys, Crumbacher, and special guests 441.”
Concert to be held at:
Mariners Church
5001 Newport Coast Dr.
Irvine, CA 92603

Our pursuit of a national identification system draws close each passing day. The government is passing laws this very moment without our consent and we really have no choice about it. It’s all in the pursuit of “national security” blah blah blah whatever. Read some recent news posted atVeriChip’s website and you’ll get an idea at what sort of government sponsored ideas are ahead of us…..
My rant of the day:
Promoting PETA doesn’t make your band any more desirable nor does it produce excess album sales. So my advice? Quit it! There are far more worthy causes out there to support than PETA. The thousands dying all across this world are a testament to the many causes that COULD be supported. Global Hunger, AIDS, Suicide Prevention, Pro-life, Cancer Treatments, etc etc etc! I know (some) labels that are supporting PETA to ensure a rapidly expanding fanbase but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with it, and I don’t. “People” need to expand their horizons for means of promotions without sinking to new lows. That’s my rant…….

E3 and all that goodness
[E3, the world’s biggest video game and electronics expo has been going on in Los Angeles the past few days. The convention features some of the hottest new games and gadgets that are to be released and showcased. One of the big games to be hyped at this show is the upcoming KING KONG gamebased on the film of the same name (produced/directed by Peter Jackson). Unfortunately I couldn’t be there, yeah I wish. Anyway…
One of the gadgets at this show is apparently a remote control “Mario Kart” complete with banannas and little mushrooms. ha ha.
You can now view an official trailer of The Chronicles of Narnia film that Disney is releasing in December of this year, click here.
Here is a first hand look at the the new batmobilefrom the upcoming film, “Batman Begins”. Hey, I’m still a fan of the first Batman movie with Michael Keaton.
If you’re looking to pick up the guitar for the first time, why not try out the “transparent” kiddie model . Complete with a built in speaker. Nice.

Back Online and ready to rock you!
[Finally it appears our site has returned to a somewhat working order. Our news section is seemingly okay as are all of the forum sections. You will notice that you can't access the forums directly by clicking on "forum" but the articles/reviews/downloads/interviews etc that are tied in through it, are working just fine. So yes, you can post on the forums but only through the categories listed at the top. We should have it back to full functionality within a day or so. You'll also notice that our news section isn't completely up to date and it seems as though we are missing a week or more of news. Well that is true but at least we are lucky enough just to get the elements of our site back which is most important. Chuck and I will be catching up on news the next few days so watch out!!
Thanks to all for your support and patience (those who read this zine ;), we hope you enjoy IndieVisionMusic.com and we’ll keep bringing you the latest…

New Featured Band..Adelaide
[As you can see this morning, we have yet again another new featured band. The band is ADELAIDE and since I received their record over a month ago, it has been on constant play. I believe this is one of the most talented new bands to hit the music scene this year and I would like all of you to give them a chance. However, we are doing something unique with this feature. I have decided to do a split week with another band, so you’ll only see this feature up for 4 days and then a new one will be posted. I know it’s strange but it’ll work out great in the end. Plus it keeps our site fresh, am I not right? ha. All of our continuing features will last one week each starting next Tuesday! I’d like to personally thank HOUSE OF HEROES, our last featured band for putting out such a great record and I encourage all of you to continue supporting these guys!
