Indie folk band Golden Youth have been chosen to record a song for the video game Sims 4. The catch? Their song must be translated to Simlish (the fictional gibberish language within the game). Pioneer are finally ready to release their new EP, titled Passive Aggression Part 1, on March 31st via Slospeak Records. This is the first album featuring Chad Shirrell on lead vocals & after pushing back the release a few times, “the band is ready to reveal their new sound”. This is the first part of a 2-part EP.

Fever Fever will be releasing their new album, Aftermath, on September 16th on Slospeak Records. The band recorded the new album with Chad Howat of Paper Route, Mark Townsend (Relient K, House of Heroes) and Kyle Monroe (Golden Youth).

A sad day indeed. Pioneer frontman Josh Randolph has stepped down from his duties in the band. You can read more here. He is leaving on friendly terms. The band will continue on and are currently looking for a new lead vocalist.
Slospeak Records just announced the November 27th release of Slospeak Christmas Volume 1. The 12 track sampler features classic Christmas tunes re-recorded to showcase each artists’ style. In addition to Slospeak artists and other indie acts, Relient K (Mono vs Stereo), House of Heroes (Gotee Records), Deas Vail (Mono vs Stereo) and Matt Shelton (of The Wedding / Tooth&Nail) contribute songs to the album.
