It’s Official: Five Iron Frenzy is Back and With a New Album Too!!
| Tags : FIF, Five Iron Frenzy, Hope Still Flies, It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, Punk, Ska, Skacore, SkapunkThis is not a “reunion”, it’s a new beginning…Well it’s now official folks, my all time favorite band (and many of yours as well) has indeed “gotten back together” and will be working on new music these next couple of years. In case you weren’t aware, the band met their kickstarter goal in just under an hour. The total is now up to $78,100 as of 8am PST. There are still 59 days to “pre-order” the new album if you want to get in on the action. Check out the news right here and see for yourselves. This band has been such an immense inspiration to my life and an encouragement all along the way of running IVM. I often go back to their albums and give the songs a spin just to reignite that passion in my heart. I know it’s just music but Five Iron Frenzy have long been an important band in not only my life but also in the music scene at large. Heck, I even had “Every New Day” playing at my wedding reception back in 1998. I personally felt a huge hole in the music industry when the band broke up that was tough to fill by other bands. Sure, there have been some really great albums released in the years following the FIF breakup in 2003 but to me, nothing as important and life changing as a Five Iron Frenzy album. I know my inner fanboy is taking over this post but I just felt some words bubbling up within me aching to burst out. I love this whole band and I am incredibly excited about the future prospects that await us all in the form of this Five Iron Frenzy new beginning. That’s what this is, it’s not just a typical band “reunion”, this is a new beginning and new start at reclaiming their place at the top of the charts and in our hearts. God bless Five Iron Frenzy and their new future as a band. They have my support and the support of Indie Vision Music as a whole. Check out the new song below and download it from the band for free right here.
