Norway is set to be the first country to officially end the use of the FM & complete the switch to digital radio. The Ministry of Culture made the announcement last Thursday & announced the date of January 11, 2017 for the final date of the switch. We are sure to see this trend across the globe over the next decade. What are your thoughts?
In a surprise move, alt-rock band Switchfoot is streaming their soundtrack/full length album Fading West a week ahead of the release date. The album can be heard exclusively via iTunes Radio-First Play. I am working on a review for the film/full length but you can read my review of the EP here. What are your thoughts on this new release?
Our friends at BrokenFM have officially launched their new FREE App in the Google (Android) Marketplace and Apple App Store. Just go to those stores on your devices and type in “BrokenFM” to see the app. It’s a great resource and an app that allows you direct streaming of every song they play (in real time) from their radio station. Please check it out and make sure to write a review.

This is an alert for all of our Southern California readers/fans. You can now hear the Air 1 Radio station in Orange County/Los Angeles areas on 92.7FM. They play a lot of Alternative Music as well as some CCM stuff. I listened to it today on the way to work and I must say it’s a much better listen than the cheesy Fish 95.9FM station. After four years without a new release, Salvador has finished recording their new album Make Some Noise, which is set to release later this year. Today, the band released the song “God of Forever”, the first single off of the new album, exclusively to Christian radio. The band has also posted a request on their Twitter and Facebook pages, asking fans to call into their local radio stations and request the song.
