for KING & COUNTRY - Place In This World feat. Michael W Smith (Official Lyric Video)

for KING & COUNTRY return with a special cover of “Place In This World” and it actually features Michael W Smith whose song this is a cover of. Very cool. The band is gearing up for the film “Unsung Hero” based off their song of the same title. Here is a synopsis.. “Based on a remarkable true story, Unsung Hero follows David Smallbone as he moves his family from Down Under to the States, searching for a brighter future after his successful music company collapses. With nothing more than their seven children, suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY’s Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives.Continued →

Song of the Day: Mylon & Broken Heart - Again and Again (RIP Mylon)

Okay, Mylon LeFevre is a stretch for inclusion on Indie Vision Music. But hear me out. He wrote a hit song for Elvis Presley in 1964, “Without Him” for the king’s Gospel album How Great Thou Art. He was only 17 when he wrong the song (in 20 minutes according to the songwriter), and was paid $90,000 for it. He walked out with a paper bag full of cash and bought his first car, a Corvette. His connection to Gospel music came earlier, as he performed with his southern gospel singing family The LeFevres.… Continued →

Introducing: Working Hour

Taking a minute here to introduce you all to a brand new group called Working Hour. They are duo that have a splashy pop-rock sound filled with 80’s pop sensibilities and modern rock touches. Similar in spirit to The 1975, The Band Camino, Twenty One Pilots, and The Neighbourhood with a little Tears For Fears and Simply Red thrown in for good measure. They just released a brand new single “It Doesn’t Feel Right” back in May. Check them out.… Continued →

Slow Coming Day Premiere Brand New Song at IAMTUNEDUP That Will Absolutely RULE Your Weekend

Slow Coming Day is crushing it, I mean absolutely slamming it with this new song titled “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace”. This is the band’s return to new recorded music as a group which is being said of almost 2 decades but I guess those special Indie Vision Music songs from a few years ago will remain unknown secret hits 😉 This song just like all their other music, hits in all the right places and soars like so many other songs fail to do.… Continued →

The Julies Release Brand New Song Titled "Symmetry"

The Julies are back in a big way this year. They’ve had a couple prior (old) albums repackaged and released on Vinyl for the first time by Lost In Ohio and now they come back with a brand new song titled “Symmetry” which is quite frankly the best I’ve ever heard from them or any likeminded band for that matter. I hate using all the genre specific classifications when describing songs such as this because honestly, this band goes above and beyond to bring you music which rides a wave of uniquely, “Julies” music but terms like “shoegaze”, “indie pop rock”, “Dream pop”, etc could easily be applied to this then twisted around and around with the beautiful color hues projecting outwards.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Larue - Tonight

I have dug this song from when I first heard it when it came out. The 2 piece is a brother & sister duo that primarily did pop rock that explored CCM radio back in the early 2000s. They were in their mid teens when they started. The band resonates with me also as both were homeschooled just like me. Both pursued soloist careers after they released 3 LPs together. Check out these lyrics. & hope y’all have a great safe New Years! It’s a beautiful pain When Your grace shines and touches my face I know Your love I’ve heard it sung a thousand times before But still I cry for more Surrender to my Lord And tonight and the rest of my life I want to live for You Still I cry for You Continued →

Names Without Numbers "Florida" Coming Soon

Names Without Numbers will return very soon with yet another incredible and a “built for radio” sound that they’ve become world renown for. I can’t promise it’ll sound exactly like that but I’m just going off past experiences and knowing this band actually has talent and experience to back up the hype. If I were to guess I’d say this will be absolute perfection, like if I had to guess and all. If you want to buy some Merch from the band direct then click here for their personally run store.… Continued →

The Young Escape Bring on the Nostalgia With New Song "Turning My Heart"

[Lyric Video below] This really great young new group called THE YOUNG ESCAPE, has been drawing more attention online lately and through strong word of mouth which has led to their recent signing with BEC Recordings and a brand new song called “Turning My Heart”. Upon first listen to this wonderfully made new indie-pop-rock song, you are transported out of your musically lackluster and boring, bland same old song existence. There is a certain familiarity here and they wouldn’t be without praise from radio/media but something about this song strikes me as fresh.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Kim Boyce - Facts of Love

I’ll probably catch some flack for this one, but hey, this song is a rocker. Kim Boyce was known in the CCM industry & was all over AC radio. But, when you’re a kid & your parents make you listen to only AC Christian music, you would get excited for a rock song on the radio!  Songs like this help me remember my childlike faith. This was 1992. Anyways, hope y’all like it & check out these lyrics. Reminds me of being on fire for Jesus which I have lost a lot of it tbh over the years and day to day life is an ever consistent reminder of the love of Jesus.… Continued →

The Rocky Valentines "Off and On" Out Now

The Rocky Valentines which is the new project from Charlie Martin who just happens to be the son of Starflyer 59 legendary song maker – Jason Martin. Not only is the music great and extremely catchy but the vocals match that talent and the lush sounds radiate through your speakers with subtle intensity that will sway you.… Continued →

Song of the Day: The Awakening - Don't Wait for Me

The Awakening was a progressive pop-rock/AOR band from Canada, active in the 1980s–not to be confused with the goth/industrial band from South Africa. This Awakening was poppy enough to be CCM-adjacent (in fact, this is probably the poppiest SOTD I’ve ever featured), but yet had a slight progressive/alternative edge that set them apart from other bands. The band released three albums, culminating in their excellent Into Thy Hands (Reunion Records, 1988). It featured 12 tracks of progressive pop goodness, not too dissimilar to 80s-era Yes. Lyrics were filled with encouraging but never preachy biblical references.… Continued →

Golf Slang - In Even Strokes (Luxury)

Golf Slang is a new side project of Jamey Bozeman of the band Luxury. Gold Slang takes on some of that 80’s new wave influence, incorporates modern sounds and conveniences and makes a song that just about anyone can appreciate. It’s really low key, chill, and something to knock off the shoes, kick back, and relax in a nice, oversized chair. If you like what you hear below, make sure to pre-order the new 5 song EP “How I Lost My Voice” right here via their label home – Velvet Blue Music, and on Cassette or CD.… Continued →

Watashi Wa just released their fantastic “come back” album titled “People Like People”, last Friday and are already off to a strong start with a new music video and Tour to follow. Check out the really great music video for the song “Trust Me”, below. What are your thoughts on this eclectic, yet poppy and definitely indie sounding, surprisingly strong new offering from Watashi Wa? Its a mix of styles but definitely current and featuring a cast of characters as guest vocalists that would make even the common underground music fan’s head explode!… Continued →

Names Without Numbers - You Do The Talking (New Lyric Video)

I’d like to shed new light on this recent new song from Names Without Numbers. The song is called “You Do The Talking” and it’s hard to argue that this isn’t the BEST song the band has done. The band without a doubt have a diverse sound yet are extremely melodic, with precise attention pointed toward addictive melodies, and unforgettable harmonies. They are an alt-rock band with indie roots clearly showing, not afraid to shy away from a certain pop like influence. They straddle the line between the raw, unfiltered power of a rock band set to storm the stage with power and fury, and a band clearly wearing their pop side on their sleeves.… Continued →
