Thrice has been announced as part of the revival of Taste of Chaos. In this festival reincarnation, Thrice will be playing alongside mainstream acts such as Jimmy Eat World, All American Rejects, The Used, and Dashboard Confessional. The concert will be held at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino,CA on October 3, 2015. Tickets are now on sale starting at only $25.

P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval was interviewed on the Mike James Rockshow & announced an August 21st release date for their new album The Awakening. Talking about the new album he goes on to say, “It’s a conceptual record, so it’s something different for us. It has a storyline to it.” The first single will appear soon. Uprise Festival (Shippensburg, PA) has begun announcing artists for this summer’s festival which is set to take place on September 18th & 19th. So far performers include Skillet, Casting Crowns, Switchfoot, Third Day, for KING & COUNTRY, Thousand Foot Krutch, Family Force 5, Disciple, and We As Human. Most of these artists will perform on the Main Stage
Michael Sweet has signed with Rat Pak Records and will hit the studio late this Fall to record a new solo album. In other news, Stryper is in the last week of vocals & guitar solos before wrapping up their new album Fallen.
ShipRocked which is billed as the “Ultimate Rock Music Cruise Vacation!” has released part of the lineup for the January 2016 trek. Islander, ’68, & Children 18:3 will join headliners Five Finger Death Punch, Seether, Halestorm, & plenty of other acts which you can below. Fireflight & Seventh Day Slumber are set to co-headline the fifth annual “Small Town America Tour 2015” along with Shonlock & Scarlet White. The tour will run Aug. 19-Nov. 22 with stops to be announced at a later date. The tour purposes to put on concerts in smaller towns which are normally passed over by big tours.
P.O.D. guitarist Marcos Curiel spoke with radio host Rooster at 94.5 KFMX (Lubbock, TX) and announced that the group’s new album will be titled The Awakening & he has been told it is slated for release this August.
