Facedown Fest 2020 - March 6th & 7th at Chain Reaction

Facedown Records is bringing their much loved annual festival – Facedown Fest – to Orange County, CA this time, on March 6th & 7th at the famed Chain Reaction Club in Anaheim. Club is close to all the tourist spots that Southern California has to offer so make a trip of it. Lineup is pretty awesome and features a bunch of new bands on the roster as well as some classic bands. Check out the lineup right here where you can also buy tickets. Chain Reaction is small so if you plan on going, get your tickets asap because I guarantee it’ll sell out (unless it already has).… Continued →

Facedown Records Announces Facedown Fest 2017 Lineup

Facedown Records has just announced the lineup for Facedown Fest 2017. The festival has hosted many bands that were signed to other labels or the subsidiary Strike First Records, including Clear Convictions (Strike First), Comrades (ex-Blood and Ink), Bloody Sunday (Strike First) and several others. This year is the 20th anniversary of the label so they have had many of their prominent acts come join in or even reunite. The label is also hosting the Fest for 3 days, which is very abnormal as it is usually a one day event.… Continued →

Facedown Fest 2017 features Impending Doom and possible A Plea for Purging reunion

Facedown Records has been rather notorious for throwing a festival each year since the early 2000’s to give people a show and sometimes to showcase bands for the label. On December 26, Impending Doom spoiled that they would be playing, though Facedown is no longer their label. In May, the 11th through the 13th is when the festival will occur. Another interesting tidbit, each member of the defunct band A Plea for Purging also shared the dates via his Instagram. None of the members are in another band, and there wasn’t another band they were in on Facedown, so best bet is A Plea for Purging reunion.… Continued →

INTERVIEW : A Plea For Purging

Interview conducted with Andy of A Plea For Purging at Facedown Fest 09. Alright, well first off, we’re just conversing. I’m not down for the interview process today! Sweet! We’re just chillin’! Exactly! Well I have to say your new stuff is sounding pristine. What’s the whole writing and recording process like for you guys in general and how has it differed this time around? Man, this time around it was way different than normal. With this one we secluded ourselves for like 4 months in the basement of this like lake house that one of the dudes parents owned.… Continued →
