Safe Haven recently had their song “Chasing the Sun” appear in the hit film “Gods Not Dead” (which has earned a hefty amount of money at theaters across the country) and now they are shooting a music video for the song. It appears the song wasn’t on the movie soundtrack but appeared in the film.
Safe Haven will release their brand new album “Chasing the Sun” on August 28th via Live Love Records. Safe Haven is an American alternative rock-punk band from Southern California. Formed in the summer of 2003 in their parent’s garage in La Mirada, California. The group consists of three brothers Gil Sandoval(Vocals/Bass), Dan Sandoval(Drums), Mani Sandoval(Lead Guitar) alongside with childhood friend Josh Ledezma(Guitar). Early influences of acts such as Third Eye Blind, The Ataris, Jimmy Eat World, and Mxpx inspired the bands early songs of teenage angst and hope driven lyrics. Highly noted as a terrific live act amongst many christian and non-christian acts the band does not perform solely to either one market. Safe Haven have announced their new album “Chasing the Sun”, which will be released to iTunes on August 28th and at a House Of Blues (Anaheim) show September 6th. I have listened to this album and I am so excited about the band, their future, and potential for worldwide acclaim. This is an excellent album through and through. Between this and the new Classic Crime, I am pumped for new music! This new album has more of a punk/rock edge than “In the Middle of Destruction” which was actually more of a subdued album for these California natives. This new album breathes newfound energy into the band and will spark a flame of interest in any listener. Give these dudes a listen and prepare yourselves for the new album. …continue reading
