Song of the Day: Viva Voce - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

My favorite Christmas songs tend to be the traditional carols. Sure, I love a good cheesy secular holiday tune every now and then (“Let it Snow” anyone?), but I find the deep theology of the carols to be particularly meaningful, and therefore apropos for the season. Having said that, there are also some wonderful contemporary renderings of the traditional tunes. Viva Voce was an indie rock band, centered on wife-husband duo Anita and Kevin Robinson. A couple independent filmmakers have moved forward with their plan to document the 2nd big revival that took place 1980-1995 which featured a collection of Christian Artists on a mission to reach the lost and seeking youth who were very much looking for answers and in need of a savior. Matty Mullins Signs to BEC Recordings and Releases New Song

Matty Mullins, front man for the band Memphis May Fire, has indeed signed to BEC Recordings. He has released his new song titled “Unstoppable” (Feat. Jordan Feliz) which is getting radio play on Air 1 Radio Stations across the country. It doesn’t look like you can stream the song anywhere yet but if you have radio, tune in to Air1. Stephen Christian (Anberlin) Records Debut "Solo" Album

Stephen Christian (Ex-Anberlin/Anchor & Braille) has begun recording his debut “solo” record for BEC Recordings with a release date planned in 1st quarter 2017. I have been listening to Anberlin this past week and realized what a truly great band they once were. I weep when I realize Anberlin is no longer with us as a band but at least we have their recorded music to remember them by.
