IVM Auctions on eBay

By in News | 7 Comments

I just wanted to let you all be aware of the new eBay auctions I have up right now. As you may heard, I’ve slowly been dropping some of my personal CDs/Music/Movies through ebay auctions in order to raise some funds for Indie Vision Music. Check out the auctions here and please follow my account, I have many more being added over the coming weeks. I can only add so many at a time before my hands start to fall asleep and my eyes glaze over from repetition so bare with me, haha. I am going to dig back into the T&N boxes and start going through some older releases by Monday. I’ve got boxes more to sell so keep following my account. Any auction that ends on a Friday will have your items shipped the following Monday because I ship from my office weekdays. Thanks for the support and purchases!

Hey Brandon, if you are trying to raise funds for IVM, why don’t you do an IVM fest? Find a venue that will hook it up for free and see if they can make a deal to take profits from the sale of pop and water. If you can’t find a place to do that, then find a decently priced venue and do a kickstarter for it. I don’t foresee you having an issue with getting backing. Then get bands on the IVM roster and other Christian acts to see if they’d be willing to do it for free with… Read more »

Man, bro, I wish I lived closer to help you try to set something up like that. The bands I used to play in here in Texas and even in Michigan used to work with venues with certain events we’d organize. We’d bring our own equipment, our own pa, sometimes even our own lights. The venues would take profit only from the sale of food and drinks. We’d bank from entry fees and merch. On occasion we would have to shell out some shekels, but we never paid more than $400 for a place. If you do decide to do… Read more »

I remember the last IVM event you put together. It was like 2007. Trying to remember the line up. Do you still have that flyer somewhere? I want to say kings to you played, but then I remember them not being able to make it. You even had a hard time getting kids out for that. Did the youth group at that church even show up? Kids are not just not going to shows anymore. We have lost some good venues in my area the last couple years and the promoters have either left town or stopped. Sucks to see… Read more »

I don’t honestly how many I’ve gotten from these auctions, but I’m really pleased with all of it so far. Lots of cool stuff I’m hoping to pick up on there now as well (Thrice, Dead Poetic, Emery, Haste the Day). I think that at this point, checking your auctions has become a twice a day habit!
