I got this news submission from Jonatan F. about a new band that “might” feature former members of Beloved/Advent called “Your Son is Dead“. Apparently Beloved linked this band up on their Facebook page. Check out their song “Choke” below and comment with your thoughts.

What is up with the vocals?! I dig the music though.
Hmm I definitely don’t think Joe Musten is involved. I know a few of the Advent members moved out west recently, so maybe they started this up?
Actually there is a project with Joe plus Veina’s drummer and lead Guitar this sounds like them to me.

Wasn’t actually that into this, to be honest. A little too over-processed for me. If it had about the same level of sludge on it as say, Trap Them, it would be amazing.

I wouldn’t mind a little more clarity on the vocals, but actually really digging it!
I really like the vocal style actually. Reminds me of black metal vocals.
The recording is a little rough but there is potential for something great further down the line once they get in a studio and have someone reputable produce their music. I am sure this was just a little taste to hype the group and get their name out there. Now that people are paying attention, I think the next step is a good recording.
Anybody ever hear of Denote the Apex? I don’t think they were big, but man, this reminds me of them

I talked to Joe the other day. This is Joe, Mike, and Jordan from Advent. He told me to check them out, and no shows yet. The vocals are weird, but I can dig this live for sure. I have always loved anything Joe has been a part of
I hope to hear more stuff from these guys soon.
