Today, Shawn Browning from Rottweiler Records emailed those who contributed to the Soul Embraced Kickstarter, and provided a statement concerning Soul Embraced‘s upcoming album, “Mythos.” Check out his statement below.
“First off, I want to thank you so much for being a part of Soul Embraced’s epic release, “Mythos”. I’m sure some of you were/are beginning to think this release was a myth!! Well, have no fear, kids. There were several personal issues (loss of family members, etc.) that stunted the progress of the album. However, Rocky has assured me that everything is kickin’ again and we should see the band wrapping up things next week!
So, how long is this gonna take to have the cd out?
Well, Rottweiler Records has inked a deal with Transform Music Group out of Nashville. This is our main distributor now. In fact, they do far more than distribute, they also do marketing and promotion. What that means is we will now see Transform do an industry blitz (ok, we won’t actually see it because it’s to industry people, i.e. music buyers, one stops, chain stores, mom and pop stores, radio, magazines, etc.) that will take approximately four months to complete. I know this seems like a long time, but in the secular market a build usually takes upwards of 9 MONTHS!! Egads!! Thus, we will not be announcing a release date until the marketing build is about halfway through.”
