Our name pretty much says it all in terms of focus here at the site and that is what we intend to do with this and most of our other compilations. Keep the attention on independent artists who struggle to get their message of hope out to the masses among a crowded music scene. Many of these artists aren’t working with big budgets or a marketing team (yes, even us). We do this all DIY on the ground level, hustling through word of mouth, social media links and other website promotions to build up “hype” for these downloads (‘hype’ might not be the appropriate word to use around ‘worship’ but you know what I mean). “Passionate Hope Vol. 2” will be posted on Indie Vision Music “as is” meaning we will not tinker with the sound or “master” it at all. We just want it to sound natural, honest, and stay true to what these artists compose.

It kind of sounds weird to “hype” and “promote” worship music but if you would like to get the word out about what we are doing here at Indie Vision Music with this free download, just link up http://www.indievisionmusic.com on Twitter or Facebook and use hashtag #passionatehope2 Our twitter handle is @ivmusic. Awesome job on this one Brandon. I greatly appreciate it! I had only gotten two songs into it and felt led to go into my room and spend some time in prayer. The Holy Spirit was definitely using the tracks that I listened to to kind of tug on my heart a bit, which was definitely needed. Thanks again!

Thanks man. It’s good to hear that these songs are a blessing to people. I encourage you all to please support the artists and look them up at their respective sites. Tell them hi and that you enjoy their music.

That is the coolest feedback I’ve ever read, 777. Truly what worship is all about.

  8. Nate Mital says:

I was just telling the Lord today that I wish I could find some artistic worship music that was heartfelt and not some commercialized radio friendly stuff. This is an answer to prayer for a poor college student who doesn’t buy much music. I can’t wait to listen to all the songs!

Hey man, heard about this from a friend of mine so I downloaded it. Love the stuff. I like the “abba” tune and that “james 1″ by the weak need. TOTALLY reminds me of Pink Floyd. Do you have chord charts for this CD to download as well that we can use in our home churches?

    • Brandon says:

Thanks for the positive feedback. Unfortunately I don’t have chord charts for any of the songs but you are welcome to contact the bands directly and ask them. Their links are found above.

So…I received your email that basically said one of my songs had been chosen to be on this volume2 and my fans/friends told me it wasn’t on here. Just wondering is all.

I always dig samplers, wish they were still as prevalent as they used to be. I find a lot of great bands that way. Especially since I don’t listen to the radio at all any more. Thanks so much as always for things like this!

    Great!
All of these tracks are good, and, like half of them are epic. I’m from Hungary and I spread this link on my blog, too, because we need credible, creative, good worship music. And in East-Europe there’s no distribution of Christian indie, so internet is our only source.

I also think this one is better than vol.1, so Im looking forward for vol.3. And thanx for this compilation.

Let me just say… the track by Attalus “When I Lose My Way” is very moving. I had downloaded their Post Tenebras Lux album but somehow didn’t really pay attention to this track until I heard it on this compilation. Came at just right time for this shadow dweller.
I would encourage everyone to give that track a listen.

Praise God, dcg. Comments like this are just one of the reasons why Attalus exists and makes music. We’re so glad that you have been encouraged by that song. Seth (our lead vocalist/pianist and lyricist) has such a God-given talent with words.

  17. Jack says:

Sweet, a new one! I loved the last compilation and I’m definitely looking forward to this one. It’s been a good build-upper of my relationship with God.
