Still find this quite odd…
What’s odd? Also, RTR is an incredible album.
Still miss the old T&N days before EMI
Lol, word.
this band is awesome. way too cool for tooth and nail.
nice
I’m a big fan of Lydia still. With or without them, Mindy has a fantastic voice. And I still listen to Copeland loads. But I was surprised with this one, too. I have no idea why. I don’t really know what faith value these particular musicians hold nowadays, but Tooth and Nail hasn’t really been too concerned about that as a requirement in a while. They’ve had plenty of bands that signed based on affiliation to previous bands that had a faith stance or Christian member. Whatevs. This will be a good release. :)
^ (I kind of meant that this signing might be mostly due to Copeland’s “Christians in a band” stance.)
lets blur out some band members…haha funny pic
I’ve never before heard of these guys or Lydia and the couple Copeland songs I heard bored me to death but…I’m sorry, this is just awesome. Love her voice, love her lyrics, love the instrumentation, love the melodies…I’m not normally an indie rock fan, but I’m definitely a fan of these guys, and I hope their relationship with T&N is a long and productive one.
Oh, and…”way too cool for tooth and nail”? “Still miss the old T&N days before EMI”? I refer you to Ivoryline Children 18:3 Emery Fair I Am Empire MxPx Sainthood Reps Sent By Ravens Underoath Write This Down. If you want to expand that to bands no longer on T&N, there’s P86 Anberlin The Classic Crime TFK Capital Lights Dead Poetic As Cities Burn Showbread mewithoutYou. I don’t think we’re talking a label in artistic decline here.
