Purple Door announced (via Facebook) that In The Midst Of Lions have cancelled due to some members quitting the band. No word on which members but I would assume the band would make some announcement soon.
At Facedown Fest, they only had one guitarist and the drummer, if I recall correctly. The vocalists from Onward to Olympus and Leaders filled in for vox.
Yikes… That certainly will change the band. Anyways, glad I didn’t plan on Purple Door as this is one of the main reasons I would have made the trip. I’ve never been able to catch them live.
I think it’s time for a name change if it’s going to be like that since the set felt like a cover band. I’ve heard different explanations for what’s going on with them but I don’t think there’s been an official word straight from the ITMOL camp.
Wow, that seems really weird.
Wow I am wondering now,if they are officially going to break up, I bet they will,we will watch and see
Well this stinks. I really wish they wouldn’t break up. If they are though, I hope it isn’t because of something stupid.
Also they are not on the current tour with Sleeping Giant that they were supposed to be part of
Well this sucks, They probably got into a huge fight.
What will you do when IVM is retired this July?
