This is one of my favorite records this year. An incredible deathcore record and an amazing vocalist.

I found them interesting. I was surprised that the Screamer had such a deep scream. Not too big a fan of the singing though. . . (free download on their purevolume page)

  5. The entire CD is great. They do deathcore breakdowns the right way.

As for the vid… typical band jamming out in a warehouse. Not bad. Nothing phenomenal. It’s my favorite song on the CD, so I’m entertained.

Sorry guys they ain’t a Christian band. Were they ever? Good question. Anyway their singer left before recording this album and he was the one that labelled the band as a Christian band because he wanted to create a Christian band … but didn’t recruit any Christians …

    • “Were they ever?”
-Yes. They definitely started out as a “Christian band”—describing themselves as such through their lyrics and on all of their websites. I’m not entitled to judge the individual members, though.

As for them not being “one” anymore, I don’t exactly care, but I’d like to know how/where you came up with that.

    • Jeremie says:

Well i work for a French webzine and they’re French, so i’ve met them and talked to them, that’s whay i’m saying what i’m saying.
They definitely labelled themselves as a Christian band, but does it make them one? They’re not bad dudes, they are cool dudes indeed, but they’re not Christians.

    • Well it looks like they betrayed…

      *puts on sunglasses*

      the martyrs.

      -YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHH!-

    • Travis says:

Have you even read the lyrics for the new record. Easily still singing about Christ.

  7. Jeremie says:

I’be read a few. “because of you” and “man made disaster”. wasn’t impressed. dp you have links to other lyrics that could make me change my mind?

    • This song almost sounds like he’s singing about the end of the world, the effects of global pollution on the world personified, or (if you stretch your imagination a bit) the flood (which would continue their theme of singing about Biblical stories).

  8. stefcore says:

From their FB page: “It is important for them to use the
music they love to raise awareness on
positive messages for the people out
there. They are looking to help people
through their songs with words and
idealisms that may help people figure out who they are and what they
believe in, whether it be Christianity, a
new way of life, or just to help people
find happiness and a good way in life
    for themselves.
Wherever possible BTM will be supporting positive organizations and
    associations throughout their concerts,
and can’t wait to meet open minded
    people that will discuss music,
    idealisms and beliefs with them.”

    No signs of lyrics.
Best way to know for sure is to interview the band and ask them clearly.

Got the lyrics from their label. I’m sure there’s an explanation for the f-word used in the song Life Is Precious.

Yeah, I was curious about that too, anyone able to shed a light on it?

However, it doesn’t change the fact that this was an incredible CD, and Ad Astra has to be one of my favourite intro’s of all time

  12. kevin fitz says:

A lot of christians use such language, maybe not on albums, but in their personal lives, let’s be honest. Them being french, they probably didn’t realize that they have to pretend that they don’t talk like that.

      Screamer’s British. They knew hahaha

    • MrM says:

Yeah, I suppose you’re right, I realize the Bible doesn’t say “don’t say ___, ___, or ___”, but it’s still weird at some times… I like Christian metal a lot, and I’m always glad of the fact if my parents raged about it cuz it sounds like demon music, I could show them the lyrics and prove it’s still Christ-centered… But I’d have a tougher time showing them this song , it just doesn’t feel quite right, y’know?

  13. Josue W. says:

These guys used to have a banner that said. “F*** you, your hating makes us famous” on Myspace, when it was still alive. I remember it was when they released the ep.

It seems there’s evidence piling against them. But we’re no judge.

Yeah, I was concerned about that F word too. They are labeled as a Christian band quite a bit so I didn’t think I’d have to worry about it. *rolling eyes* It is annoying, cuz the other lyrics in “Life is Precious” are really positive.

I really wasn’t impressed with this album. Nothing really stood out for me. And I’m fairly sure there are a couple of F-bombs in the beginning of “Life Is Precious.”
