Indie Vision Music Presents: Passionate Hope Vol. 1: Songs of Worship, launching October 1st as a FREE Download right here at IVM. “Passionate Hope Vol. 1” is a unique collection of independent artists from across the country composing honest original songs that we consider to be “worship”. Our team member and long time friend, Eric Pettersson, came up with this idea several months ago. He has been steadily working on the project ever since and we have now teamed up to release this free download to you in one month. There were still some artists that needed to work on “New” songs which explains the wait but this allows us extra time to work on details and make sure this is worth the download. Read more details below including the tracklisting with the artists listed.
Our name pretty much says it all in terms of focus here at the site and that is what we intend to do with this and most of our other compilations. Keep the attention on independent artists who struggle to get their message of hope out to the masses among a crowded music scene. Many of these artists aren’t working with big budgets or a marketing team (yes, even us). We do this all DIY on the ground level, hustling through word of mouth, social media links and other website promotions to build up “hype” for these downloads (‘hype’ might not be the appropriate word to use around ‘worship’ but you know what I mean). “Passionate Hope Vol. 1: Songs of Worship” will be posted on Indie Vision Music “as is” meaning we will not tinker with the sound or “master” it at all. We just want it to sound natural, honest, and stay true to what these artists compose.

Eric actually got Welcome Wagon so I am not super familiar with them. I am sure that’s probably the one you are thinking of.

You should get Corey Pigg (Farewell Scene) to offer one of his awesome electro ambient worship songs he has been working on. That and word is that We Are Creation recorded a bunch of studio quality worship stuff that would be great on this. But who knows if they would want to offer it.
Who is We are Creation and what do they sound like? I still haven’t heard any new Farewell Scene songs. I don’t think Corey ever sent me the songs :( Tell these bands/artists to send me mp3s to our email addresses (listed above)

Just curious, but have you thought about asking if Jesus Culture or similar groups would contribute tracks?
No on anything relating to EMI. Just too difficult. Major label stuff won’t happen. I don’t know about Jesus Culture, I haven’t tried contacting them. I would be open to anyone that is interested in giving away music for free. The minute I have to pay a royalty or fee to get a song, that’s when I walk away ;)

i would like to hear people’s interpretations about it before telling my thoughts on it. from what I have heard from different people has been very interesting and unique and inspiring how it speaks to different people
Totally guessing, but it seems like the red, upside down v represents God opening up to all of us (stretching out his arms) and the other v represents all of us coming to God during worship. My guess probably isn’t even close though, haha.
I love the album art! The symbol makes me think of something that connects both to God and us. Kinda cheesy, but that’s what I think of.
Okay everyone, I decided to convert all the Mp3s to 192kbps so that the folder/file wont be such a huge download in terms of size (MB). As it sits right now without the additional couple new tracks, the file is over 400MB. Once I cut all the tracks down to 192kbps, it should reduce that number significantly. Thanks for your understanding.
