Haste the Day Releases Live CD/DVD September 13
Catalogue-spanning track list features members both past and present

(INDIANAPOLIS) After more than a year in the making, Haste the Day’s anticipated live album Haste the Day vs. Haste the Day will be released nationwide on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The album, which features members both past and present, spans the band’s catalogue of six releases and nearly 10 years.

The new album was recorded live at the all-ages music venue Rhino’s in Bloomington, Ind., on June 29, 2010, also serving as the album release show for Attack of the Wolf King, the band’s final studio album. HTD vs. HTD was engineered and mixed by Brian Thorburn of Threshold Studios, also credited with producing, engineering and mixing Haste the Day’s cover of The Black Eyed Peas hit song “Meet Me Halfway.”

The live album will also be accompanied by a DVD, which was also shot at the June 29 event. The camera shoot was coordinated and produced by long-time manager Mark LaFay and later edited by David Brodsky of My Good Eye. The DVD will give fans old and new a chance to see all previous and current members of Haste the Day perform songs from all eras of the band’s career.

About the Band: Haste the Day is a metal-core band hailing from Indianapolis, Ind. Founding members Devin Chaulk, Brennan Chaulk and Michael Murphy started the band and vocalist Jimmy Ryan and guitar player Jason Barnes joined the fold shortly after. The band self-released the EP That They May Know You with the help of their manager in 2002 and shortly after its release, the band inked a deal with Seattle-based Solid State Records. In 2004 Haste the Day released their debut LP Burning Bridges and began building their reputation as “road warriors” with their incessant touring. Haste the Day later went on to release four more studio albums prior to breaking up in March 2011: When Everything Falls (2005), Pressure The Hinges (2007), Dreamer (2008), and Attack of the Wolf King (2010). The final lineup consisted of Stephen Keech (vocals), Michael Murphy (vocals, bass), Scottie Whelan (vocals, guitar), Giuseppe Capolupo (drums), David Krysl (guitar).

Haha well you are entitled to your opinion either way but I must ask…are you joking? I’m not trying to mock or anything, i just can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic

  9. mike says:

    I was being a little harsh :p

The album isn’t really terrible, I just don’t think it comes close to any of their other albums. It was too predictable and I didn’t really like the song structures (too formulaic). I like “When Everything Falls,” “Bleed Alone,” and “InstruMETAL” but none of the other songs have ever really stuck out to me much.
