Mxpx Gets Repackaged

Tooth & Nail Records is re-releasing Mxpx’s first three albums “Pokinatcha” (1994), “Teenage Politics” (1995) , and “Life In General” (1996) into a 3 disc package calling it “Mxpx Triple Shot”. The 57 song release will be released on August 23rd and will retail (on CD) for $18.99. (Pre-order from Interpunk here for $17.00) Will any of you be buying this? Long time fans will be stoked to hear that Mike, Tom, and Yuri have all been in the studio recently working on the the band’s NEW full length release, which should be out later this fall. This will be the first full length release since “Secret Weapon” in 2007 and “Left Coast Punk ep” in 2009.

I’ll be grabbing this. I have an album or two of theirs, but they’re one of those bands I always meant to get into, but regrettably never did. I have none of the albums in this tripack.

How about all three albums repressed on vinyl? Then I might buy it.

I don’t understand these tooth and nail repackaging schemes. Is anything remastered? If not, what’s the point?

They are just looking for some money. I can’t really blame them. Album sales are down and they need money to be able to sign new bands.
