That’s right friends, the brand new Owl City album “All Things Bright and Beautiful” is releasing on May 24th. Since Owl City and Anberlin are on the same label, I want to see a tour, please.

YES!!!
Owl City’s new one could be interesting, but I’m not holding my breath for anything groundbreaking. Anberlin and OC touring together would be amazing, but I doubt that would happen. They don’t really draw the same crowd. :P
Yesssssss!
Did you all see the whole Owl City/Taylor Swift thing going on? Pretty amusing.
Didn’t another artist have an album with that same name?
Okay, probably a bajiliion have :P but it sounds really familiar.
Well, it’s the first line of an old hymn, at least.
I’m actually really curious to know what this album looks like, sounds like, and feels like. Even though I didn’t really get into the sugary pop of the last album, it clearly resonated with a ton of kids and I respect Adam’s positive messages countering the other stuff in pop music today. We were discussing on the Civil Wars sales thread about christian musicians and album sales; maybe Owl City will be the first #1, if you want to count him, and I don’t see why not. I’m really interested in what these new lyrics will be like… I mean, this is a guy who amuses people by trying to woo Taylor Swift with synth-pop covers, but he also retweets John Piper in his Twitter feed. Nobody does that and isn’t at least somewhat aware of the importance of the influence he has.
From everything I can tell Adam’s a pretty solid dude. First record went platinum and the first thing he did was praise Jesus for it. I mean, I’m just basing this off of his blog and stuff, but the guy’s seems to be staying true to Christ despite the fame he’s found himself in. Just that alone makes me want to keep supporting his music….aside from the fact that I seem to be one of the few people that frequent this site who actually enjoys Owl City’s music.
