Before There Was Rosalyn’s Trailer Stolen

Last night BTWR had their trailer stolen in their hometown of Houston.  Tons of merch, CDs, equipment, and more were stolen.  Please keep them in your prayers.

I don’t mean to be that guy, but are these trailers just not getting secured enough? Trailers seems to get stolen way too often. I know it’s not entirely their fault. Maybe they should leave the trailer hooked up to a vehicle, or use a more tamper resistant lock? Back the trailer up to a wall of some sort to block the entry way?

I do hope they can recover from this. It stinks that it happens to bands just trying to make some kind of living.

I was gonna say, it feels like this seems to be happening almost weekly. It’s insane.

This is nuts, although, the people that try to steal these steal them when you would never expect it. My band was in Chicago playing a show 2 years ago when we went to a grimier part of chicago after a show to a Dennys to eat. After that a friend happened to be at the nice side of Chicago in an Embassy Suites and let us sneak in to sleep there. In the morning, we come out to the doors wide open on the van. When I walked up I saw they tried to cut this new trailer lock (I seriously bought 2 nights earlier haha) on the trailer, then I saw they tried to pry the trailer doors open and failed.
I walked to look in the van since the locks were punched in the doors and they were all wide open and everything was scattered everywhere; clothes, food, the GPS, cds, dvds, ipods, oh and our merch money box full of our cash haha and a bunch of electrical wires were hanging under the steering wheel and dash.
Apparently that $5 trailer lock had not only saved the trailer, but bought enough time with them messing with it to spook them from taking it all! The hotel had security cameras but they refused to let us have them for some reason. Thank God for it though cause we would’ve called it quits right there. I now also bought not just a trailer lock, but also a hitch lock.
I will keep these guys in prayer, we just talked to the Overseer guys at Sonshine and its so bogus to have it happen.
