This has the new WoA, A Hope From Home, WITW, and Letter to the Exiles
Cool, I’m looking forward to dowloading this when I get home.
“Desire” isn’t a bad song and feels a bit more intense than previous War of Ages songs, maybe helped by Tim Lambesis’ vocals. Strike First’s done a better job of getting new heavy artists like Earth From Above, Letter to the Exiles, and Saving Grace.
With No Innocent Victim on break again for Thieves and Liars, I think For Today and A Plea For Purging are the heaviest active artists on the label.
Imending Doom is heavier than both of them.
I break music down organically and think that catchiness, though not necessarily melody, help make something heavy. If a song gets in your head, like Living Sacrifice’s “Send Your Regrets”, it can make something heavier. On “The Serpent Servant”, the impact I felt was lessened by weak lyrics, lack of variety and hooks. It certainly is scary but I don’t consider that to be elite-level heavy. Maybe for March Madness, their should be a Tournament of Heavy.
Eh? NIV being on break doesn’t really have much to do with T&L… Corey Edelman hasn’t been in NIV for quite some time…
Or do you know something I don’t?
have you guys heard the band Skyhawk Drive and how can i post something here…I want them to be featured on this site since they are still unsigned,,,
If your going to start talking about Unsigned bands check out THE WAITING ENDS!!!
http://www.myspace.com/thewaitingends
They are seriously the most wanted unsigned band out there. People need to jump on board with this band. They challenge me with my faith everytime I see them live. They are hard working dudes, and people need to spread the word about The Waiting Ends.
Good enough for me to keep an eye on them, but too whiny for me to love. The closest I’ve gotten to what I would love, a truly upbeat hardcore band, is Blessed By A Broken Heart and their vocalist is too whiny.
The drummer looks like Napoleon Dynamite, somewhat. At least facially.
Are they a “metal” band?
Wow…this is cool. 13 songs for free including War Of Ages!!!!
I hope the new WOA is good. I think it will be, but it’ll be hard to top arise and conquer in my book. Deception of strong holds is hands down my favorite work out jam.
UNBREAKABLE AND ARMY OF THE CHOSEN ONE R THE BEST.
The Saving Grace song is epic.
