For Today Video

For Today have just released their latest video for the song “Saul of Tarsus (The Messenger)” off of their album Portraits. They worked with Drew Russ to produce great results. “Drew was a blast to work with!” says Mattie Montgomery. “He was incredibly organized and thoughtful. He was a ton of fun, and he really took our loose concept for a video and made it his own. I think our finished product is much better for having had him involved.”

    SICK VIDEO.

  • Andy K says:

I really like the video, but I don’t care too much for the white tarp background. It looks like they are playing inside a trash can.

  • Ty says:

Yeah, i kept waiting for either gak to start getting thrown everywhere or some kind of sweet unveiling. Neither happened. Have they always done the crabcore dance moves thing or is that just for this video? i watched the new OK go video right before this. Maybe that is why I am so let down.

  • Brody says:

Totally agreed with everyone on here: Sweet live performance, but no need for the tarp. I didn’t even mind the tarp so much when it was the whole band playing, but on the close ups it didn’t look so hot. Still a better live video than most

Now this is one of those bands (to me) whose lyrics I LOVE because they are so bold about the Gospel in their music. But the music itself is, well, kind of boring. It’s okay for what it is I guess, but to me it sounds like slowish, chugging and break downs. The harsh vocals are fine, cause they are a “heavy” band but I wish they played better. I don’t mean to sound harsh cause these guys write some great lyrics for God and I can see some people being touched by the Holy Spirit through this music. But I didn’t really like portraits as much as most did. I prefer stuff like haste the day or demon hunter. But I do like some good hard core/metal core stuff. Sleeping giant, becoming the archetype, and means are all favs of mine.

  • Wow a great video! I wished they did the “the servent” as a video, that song is awesome
