Living Sacrifice Make Blog

Living Sacrifice have made a blog about their album sales and mention why you can’t find it in stores like Best Buy or Hot Topic. Read the blog below.

Thank You!
Hi All, a big thank you to all who went out and got the new record last week, we are # 4 on the Heatseekers chart and we made the Billboard top 200 at #190. We have never been in the top 200 before! So, we thank you for supporting our music and what we do. As many of you know, The Infinite Order was not picked up by retailers like Best Buy and Hot Topic. This is very much due to the nature of CD sales in general. And since we have not had a sales history for 8 years, some retailers have not taken the record. But we think that with a strong first week that they will reconsider. This will help keep sales of the record going after the first few weeks, and by being in these stores, it will give us a better chance to connect with new fans of metal. So, here is the “ask”. If you happen to be in a Best Buy or Hot Topic, ask them if they have the record. And if not, ask them when will they get it. By doing this, it will let them know that there is an audience for Living Sacrifice, and hopefully they will respond. Again thanks so much for your support. We hope to see you on the road!

Wish I would have known this beforehand.

HAHA, me too. me too. I did picked it up at our local Christian book store. (they actually had it on shelves the day of…)

I had to order it on Amazon so I got it a week and half after it came out. That sucked.

I originally went to pick it up at Best Buy and they didn’t have it. I went on there website and you couldn’t even order on there. Went to FYE and they didn’t have it either. So then I called up Family Christian and they told me they had 2 copies. So I had to wait an extra day and picked it up from them. The bad thing was that Best Buy is 30 mins from my house and Family Christian is an hour away. It was worth the extra day of waiting though.

never heard of amazon.com ? i’m sure shipping costs less than an hour long car trip

  • Jeremiah says:

Yeah I’ve heard of amazon.com. I’d prefer to get the cd in a store so that if it’s messed up like they are sometimes then I can take it right back for an exchange. If I buy it off amazon.com I have the risk or not getting another copy or still getting a messed up copy. At least at the store I can open it right there and not have that problem. Plus if people don’t go out and support buying music at a store then the stores aren’t going to carry anything. So let’s all buy off the internet and put all the stores out of business. Besides I like to support the oil companies and give them my money. More like I just like to drive around, it’s an expensive hobby of mine.

btw Tyler, I liked your review of To Save A Life. I also read many of the comments that were left and it saddened me a bit. Only to know that if were ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and telling people about him then how are we suppose to pull them from the fire. I saw the Book Of Eli and thought it was pretty good but it doesn’t mention the gospel of Christ either. It also kinda contradicts, “Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.”

Sorry to have turned this post into this. =)
