Greetings Web World!

Hello all! This is Brandon and I am writing you on a bright, sunny California morning. We just endured a little rainstorm for the past few days which left a pretty gloomy atmosphere and some destruction around the southland. Nothing major here though. I feel bad for all you living in the midwest/eastcoast with your “Snowmageddon”, LOL. Seriously though, you guys (and gals) seem to be getting hit hard by these storms, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. So what’s new? Read more to find out and see baby pics….

Well, I”ve just been incredibly busy and tied up with being a daddy (again) to newborn twins and I realize now that it takes quite a bit of work which leaves me with little time for much else. IVM has been put on the back burner for the time being. As you can see around the site, we’ve been sort of lacking in the news department the past few weeks however our staff members have done their best to keep the site as fresh as possible. Thanks to Josh, Steve, Chris W, Bloodwater (Jonathan), and our new guy Christopher Alexander.

On the music front, we’re just beginning to gear up for a release heavy year with all kinds of new albums hitting shelves (and stereos) the next few months. We’re going to do our best to review as many of these as possible and keep you informed on the latest happenings with bands. Please feel free to send us all your news updates via our “Submit News” page. All news updates are emailed to my inbox and I’ll do my best to post them within a few days. If any of you have a scoop on something big going down and would like the world to know about it, please submit the news to us so that we can keep you all updated.

If I get around to it and I’m not making any promises, I’ll try to review a few releases that excited me last year like David Tamaoka, Jess Penner, and possibly The Hotshot Freight Train. I loved all these releases but I just couldn’t wrap my thoughts around a review to accurately describe my feelings about the afformentioned albums. Trust me, I enjoyed the above albums quite a bit but it’s tough sometimes for me to put my thoughts into typed words on the internet. I’ll do my best.

Site updates? Well we think the site is running pretty smooth the way it is right now so we aren’t planning on changing anything at this current time. There will be a special surprise for the Blood and Water release in a few months whenever it’s finished so look out for that. This is definitely one of my most anticipated releases of the new year and I have my hopes up high for it’s completion.

Well that about does it for this little Brandon update. As always, if you guys ever have a question or comment, feel free to direct it towards me here brandon@indievisionmusic.com.

Take care and enjoy these pics of my new babies,

Brandon Jones
