The Famine has parted ways with their vocalist. Read the press release below.
…………The Famine has parted ways with vocalist Chris McCaddon. The tyranny of distance is at times an insurmountable obstacle to behold. We love Chris as a brother and respectfully wish him the best in all of his future endeavors. In addition, The Famine is very excited to announce that Nick Nowell will lead us down this dark and dusty road as our new singer, and we couldn’t be any more excited to welcome his range and abilities into The Famine in such an important capacity and at such an important time in our journey of pillage and conquest. In other news, we are hard at work in our metal bunker, doing our best to write a sophomore record the likes of which have never been heard by any ears, mortal or otherwise. Stay tuned for more big Famine news very soon, and may the metal be with you. – The Famine

Where’s Sean Corbray when you need him……
Eh. I don’t think he’d fit the Famine too well, in my opinion.
The theatricality of metal is hilarious sometimes…
Honestly, McCaddon was my main reason for listening to this band. I still want to hear their new stuff but no guarantees.
I liked Chris. Anyone know if Nick Nowell is any good?
It’s their bass player and I can’t remember any bad things about his vocals when I saw them almost two years ago.
That is good to know
I was just thinking maybe they could change their style again if they brought Sean on board….they would be a much better band for it (IMHO)
It really depends on what you like, but if that’s how you feel, sweet! When I first heard Embodyment years ago, it was with Sean and their “nu-metalish” sound, but when the Famine came out and joining my band now, I discovered old Embodyment and I’m a big fan. One of our friends keeps telling us to cover “20 Tongues,” actually, since the Famine and Embodyment are pretty important influences to us, at least lately.
