The only change I would make (since its YOUR top, I won’t make any criticisms!) is I would replace Redeemer with O God, The Aftermath.
i don’t agree with evan.
BUT.. I do semi agree with chris.
some of the albums he listed shouldn’t be on there…
but to each has their own opinion.
but i do agree with norma jean.
Good to see another Sigur Ros fan out there.
i tried to pick albums which got heavy amounts of play and that i thoroughly enjoyed. i actually went and put all these albums into a playlist and i love it. @evan i actually would really love to hear your criticisms.
kudos on putting BLC on that list by the way.
criticisms: norma jean
kavin kramer you shut your mouth. i know where you live and you’ve tried to convince me for years that norma jean is aweful, you’ll never win haha.
@fatt matt heck yes BLC is so good, i wish that they had’nt split ways with allie but things happen. i do love them so much tho
Switch the order of the Showbread and Norma Jean albums, and it’ll be better :P
Kavin Kramer <3
Nice list! A lot more thorough than mine
I love that you have such a diverse list! ATTWN, Norma Jean FIF… you can tell what genre I mostly listen to on my list. lol
Lights For Nero <3
nice list Chris!!!
I just got Norma Jean’s Bless The Martyr And Kiss The Child last week…I have been listening to it non-stop! I love it!!! The Scogginator baby!!! I want to name my kid (4 months and I will be a Dad!) Joshua Scogin! HAHA!!! I love the song titles in his songs! Especially on Bless The Martyr! Also the titles on Everything is Alive, Everything Is Breathing…are amazing too! Speaking of Josh Scogin, why isn’t The Chariot’s Wars And Rumors Of Wars on the list? That cd completely rocks!!! Just by saying that it “rocks” doesn’t completely describe it…It has to be blasted at full volume in the car…then it is outstanding! HA!
And I mean this in a loving way, but… where have you been since 2002 when it came out? Haha.
I was probably listening to Skillet Alex…They are pretty much what I listened to then…I was obsessed with them then. That ended when Comatose came out. But, I’m not going there… Anyways, I didn’t get into Norma Jean until I got a This is Solid State compiliation cd that had Song Sounds Much Sadder off of Redeemer. That is when I got into them.
Love the ATTWN mention. DANCE!

@Matt Bless the Martyr was the album that fully drug me face first into metal. and The Chariot’s Wars is my least favorite of their full lengths, their debut was mindblowing.
OK, Chris. You are right…The Chariot’s first album is pretty insane! In a good way, though! HAHA! I got that when I saw them a couple months ago and Josh Scogin signed it for me! The Fiance was my first album from them. I really love their new cd though…just my opinion. Daggers makes me go nuts…I just can’t explain it…it is crazy I know! But that is what The Chariot does to me! HAHA!
Otherly Opus fan, I forgot ’bout that.
I was stoked to see Discover America so high. Good call!
Bleed American but not even a scratch of a mention ’bout Futures?
I think we share the same love for blood brother’s “Crimes” that’s definitely one of my favorite albums that I own.
