John Cooper (of Skillet) has written for AOL Radio blog what his top 10 albums of all time are. You can read the blog here and see the list below. Do any of these surprise you? It’s definitely a pretty diverse list.

- AC/DC – Back In Black
- Bon Jovi – Slippery When Wet
- Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory
- Seal – Seal
- Metallica – The Black Album
- Yes – Fragile

That’s definitely an interesting list. Can’t say I understand the always horrid Linkin Park being anywhere near the top 500 on anyone’s list but it’s his opinion. Seeing this list kinda explains the change to mainstream, typical rock music though. :-/
I wonder how far down his list the first christian album comes up…
i was expecting skillet albums
Anthony: number 1?
Phil: you were expecting him to list one of Skillet’s albums or more than one in his top 10?
yes, haaaaaaa
I would rank those def leopard and Bon jovi albums pretty high too. Those live and metallics albums got their fair share of listens from me early in high school. Solid list, it’s tough to make one of those especially narrowing it down to just 10 bands.
Never heard of Innocence Mission. I must be missing out badly…
mm3…linkin park wasn’t bad when they first came out…that style was still nu haha
Bon Jovi and Seal are kinda outta nowhere
now I understand why they continue to sound the same. song after song.
they enjoy metallica and ACDC
Diverse isn’t the word I would use.
They’re his favorites. Why that’s a problem for some people, I don’t know. He didn’t say they were his influences, just his top 10 favorites.
Alright Ill admit – I’ve never heard of four of those bands.
The Innocence Mission is really good though.
INXS Kick is one of the best albums from the 80s and has a permanent place on my iPod. Love that album and the band thru the 80s then they went down hill fast
Typically someone’s favorite albums are their influences. Are they going to be influenced by their least favorite albums? His list is his list, I don’t have a problem with that. I just think Linkin Park sucks something fierce, haha.
Throwing Copper by Live owns. Still. Today. Truth.
Michael do Linkin Park suck for you because they’re mainstream? Just an off the wall question.
Hybrid Theory was a great album. it’s old for me but i still enjoy it today. It was basically the 1st hard rock (at least it sounded that way to me compared to the few other bands i kinda listened to at the time such as Relient K) album i was exposed to and i thought it sounded great.
Well, that explains why I don’t like any of the music he makes.
