I know I said it before.
I hate when bands do that.
With all the different releases of New Surrender (from Wal-mart, itunes, their online store, Best Buy, Rhapsody, the UK’s release, Newbury Comics, their vinyls of the album), I just can’t hardly keep up with the goodies all around. I think I’ll just stick with my USB exclusive content and be satisfied for the time being.
I just looked it up and that’s crazy how many different versions with “new” songs they have out. They just need to pack em all onto one disc.
Why do so many bands do this? perhaps it will give them more sales than an EP would…people (myself included) don’t really like EPs. Rereleased stuff just looks more attractive I guess. But if you’re going to be like Theory of a Deadman and release 8 new songs, why not just make a new album? Perhaps it’s because those were the songs that were recorded during the process of their latest album but got scrapped from the final cut last minute. Perhaps i just answered my own question. Perhaps I should just stop typing.
It’s also interesting to note that the next radio single going to for Modern rock adds is going to be the “True Faith” cover.
Now, within a span of two months, every Anberlin album will be rereleased…
