As you can see above, I have posted up two new featured bands this week. Stavesacre who have spent a career of 14 years perfecting their anthemic brand of rock n’ roll definitely deserved the featured spot in my opinion this week. Well we had a bunch of bands with releases due out this Tuesday so any second artist I picked would have ended up in the “Under the Radar” section. Project 86 is just that band this week. Now I know that Project 86 and Stavesacre have been existance almost nearly the same amount of time but when you only have a “Featured” spot and an “Under the Radar” spot, that’s what I had to do. So just consider it TWO featured spots this week and ignore the “Under the Radar” tag……”but Brandon, what about that awesome metalcore band August Burns Red? They have a release too coming out on July 14th!!” Though the album is good (for them), I feel these two bands (above) have definitely deserved the featured spot this week after spending the past decade and half perfecting their sounds. Will August Burns Red be a band for a decade? Hmmmm…..

Word!! Abr= ovarated anyway, lol.
You don’t need to justify yourself Brandon. Although ABR might be popular now, like you alluded to lets see where they stand in ten years. Don’t get me wrong either I’m a fan of their’s and plan on purchasing Constellations on the 14th, but Project 86 and especially Stavesacre are highly underappreciated. Stavesacre along with Plankeye and Mxpx got me interested in the scene and from there I found punk, ska, hardcore, and metal. I’ve been an addict to great music ever since.
Hey how about Hands for the featured band next week. New Facedown band Hands releasing their epic label debut Creator in stores and online July 21st 2009. Sorry for the shameless plug. Seriously you guys should check it out though.
Yeah, Hands will be featured for sure starting next Saturday.
Hey I’d just like to point out…..isnt it cool that after what he’s gone through, Andrew Schwab doesnt care about selling his albums that much anymore….i mean i just kinda noticed there hasnt been much talk about the album that much….or much press…..people didnt even sellout any of the pre-orders….Schwab cares about the fans i think…….not so much the money…….
