The US tracklisting for Abandon’s Searchlights has been changed once again. It is no longer the same as the Japanese tracklisting. Let me explain the new differences. It will feature two songs that are not available on the Japanese release titled “Confession” and “Here We Are Now,” but the Japanese release features three songs that are not available on the US release titled “Gold,” “If I Could Write A Song,” and “All Because Of You.” The good news for US is that the songs from the Japanese release are available on Abandon’s EPs that were released digitally in the US, but if you like physical releases like myself, you will be stuck ordering the CD from Japan is you want the tracks “Gold” and “If I Could Write A Song.” The bad news for Japan is that the two songs on the US release are available no where else. Here is a look at the final US tracklisting and higher quality artwork. Look for the album in US stores August 25th. 1. Hold On 2. Song For The Broken 3. Confession* 4. Be Alive In Me 5. Here We Are Now* 6. Providence 7. City Lights 8. Safe In Your Arms 9. Atmosphere 10. Here Waiting 11. Your Love Lifts Me Up 12. Hero [thanks Shawn]

Wait…the Abandon EP was never released physically? I remember seeing it available as pre-order on some online CD stores…weird.
well that isn’t convoluted or anything.
it was definitely released physically.
It was a part of EMI’s new “Now Hear This” pricing. $5 for EP’s & $7.99 for full lengths. I believe it released in stores this April and digitally some time last year.
Speaking of Now Hear This, you’ll see a lot of albums out late summer and fall at those prices. The Glorious Unseen, Future Of Forestry, Josh Wilson, Philmont, Abandon, etc.
I’m definitely getting The Glorious Unseen, Philmont, and Abandon (even if they do sound like a Killers knock off). I already have Future of Forestry thanks to the label/EMI, now I just have to listen to it.
