Cstone set was amazing. The box set doesn’t really need a review, it’s just “go get this.” Remixed pillars is worth it alone. But what a history lesson for “the kids today” on xtian hard music…

also, the band are so very, very young on the DVD. =)

Great review, I was and still am a huge Crucified fan. I remember the first time I saw them with; outnumbered, unashamed, and focused back in ‘93, it was amazing. I own “Pillars…” and it is one of my all time favorite albums. I was at the show in ‘95 with mxpx and blenderhead played also. Te Crucified means so much to my walk with the Lord. I orderd the box set and am still waiting for it.

I wish I would have been there Jeff. I definitely agree with you, the remix job on Pillars of Humanity is superb and I couldn’t ask for a better version of it. I love hearing this 1991 album in my 2009 car stereo. It’s so awesome.

This is a great set since it includes some hard to find tracks (Power of God and Straining Life) as well as releases (KGB and live demos). Plus they had The Pillars remixed since the bass was pretty much non-existent in the original release and the vocals were softer.

And they put on a killer reunion show at Cornerstone.

I never really enjoyed “Nailed” as an album since it was mostly lo-fi old school punk rock. Greg, you really should have checked out their “Self Titled” or “Pillars of Humanity” stuff, it was good and nothing really like “Nailed”.

I owned Nailed. It was a little beyond my taste at the time. I remember paying $19.95 for the album at a Christian music book store in Irving TX. Those days are certainly gone. They were one of the bands I really tried to like but could not get into them. However, I do understand their impact on the Christian music scene.
