I don’t post about myself much except in the forums, but I just thought I’d let you know that staff members of the great IVM are really real people, we aren’t robots designed to kill all humans. Here is my engagement photo. I’m gonna marry some girl named Beth. You guys out there will have to settle for less. Sorry, tough luck, but God will get you past even that difficulty. Just kidding, sort of, but if anyone out there is single and confused and bitter or anything, let me just say that I tried it all on my own and nothing worked out until God decided it was time to bless me with the perfect woman for me. He’ll do it for you in His timing too, just gotta put your faith in Him if you want to find comfort in that. I should probably mention something about Scripture here to make this sound legit. 1 Corinthians 7. There you go. read that. Believe it this time.
also, I’m stealing The Headless Griffin’s disclaimer, even if it hardly applies:

Any concerns, questions, or love letters can be directed to the author via email at tyler@indievisionmusic.com As an example, Griffin thinks Batman is better than Spiderman because he cries less and seems less like a hormonal metrosexual (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but this opinion is not the opinion of Brandon Jones or Indie Vision Music (unless they’re cool like me!). “Congaratulations”
Congrats bro!
Congratulations, man! That’s really exciting. Is she a Bleach fangirl?
And write your own disclaimer! Lame.
hahaha thanks guys sorry griff but only you can take a bite out of crime.
she’s a shane and shane fangirl hahaha. and abba.
congrats dude and thanks for the encouraging words. i needed that personally! someday, in this time and space…
Congrats bro!
“It’s a hard road finding the perfect woman” – that reference from a semi-celebrity figure/character from New Zealand, so you’re not likely to find it as funny as I do. (Um, yeah…)
But anyway, excellent to see that in the world of hyper-sensitive and skittish christian relationships, people can still manage to get married.
thanks fusse…and yea…with your web designing skillz the right one is sure to come along haha :)
sam…you lost me at new zealand haha sorry i hear its beautiful there, is it true? and have you walked the path to mordor?
and if we hadn’t both gone to bible college it never would have worked…i’m 28, so you know i’ve had to be patient…i’m old for just getting married in christian circles i think…but i SOOO wasn’t ready five years ago. don’t be in a bigger hurry than you need to be :)
Congrats Tyler. It’s amazing when God works through your life and brings a true soul mate. I found my soul mate back in 96′, we dated for a few years then got married in 98′ when I was 19, and have been living happily ever since.
*sniff* So lovely *sniff*
Congrats Tyler…again.
huge congrats to you and your bride to be!
Haha.
Yeah New Zealand is beautiful. well, that is if you like smaller cities, lots of trees and parks in those cities. Lots and lots of pseudo-forest (not too dense to look into) lining our national highways, and a placid temperate climate (for the most part).
I live in Mordor city, and used to live in at the edge of Shire city…so I guess yes I have walked that fabled path. Good times.
how often do you get asked how frodo is, sam?
Headless Griffin, it’s all flattery, right?
Tyler, good post. I was glad I could see you’re happy without reading a gushy mess of “wow guys, guess what happened? It’s amazing and her eyes are like stars. And the ocean. And when the ocean reflects stars. And stuff.” Seriously man, big congrats! You mean people are still serious about relationships these days?!?! :-)
Hey Tyler, are you going to Facedown Fest in April? My Epic are playing.
Tyler – not very often at all, to be honest.
I think the only time I’ve been asked this question is when conversing with people from the US.
Funny that, eh?
Congratulations, Mr. Hess.
@Tyler and Brandon: One of the cool things about marriages founded on Christ is that when you look at them, honestly, they seem like they’d never have been possible without him. And I think that’s awesome.
(Note: I don’t mean that you guys wouldn’t have found girls ’cause you’re lame or anything. I mean that short of the Lord working in your situations, these particular marriages would never have happened or would never have worked. Praise God.)
@Levi: Tyler’s creative enough to pull it off on his own, though. I’m just trying to push him to excel. = D
Congrats Tyler
thanks for the 1 Corinthians 7.
p.s. Shane & Shane is really good
yeah dude, ive been meaning to congratulate you on the engagement.
youre a lucky man.
i really look forward to the day i meet my future wife and the story that will ensue.
also, fantastic disclaimer. haha.
Congrats to you Tyler! God bless.
Hey Tyler,
Congrats!!!
thanks everybody
and yea…i could have done something on my own without God and gotten married and had a ruined life, but instead He gave me grace and gave me the right person to marry. I can guarantee that none of this was my doing, it was all Him doing a work in my life and people around me have told me that there has been a huge change in who I am since we’ve been together. That is what a wife is supposed to be, someone to fill in those gaps where you need help and someone that you can grow closer to God with. It is a good thing when and only when you let God do the work. That is true in all things.
Also, headless, I’ll try to write my own disclaimer next time, I thought I’d just have some fun plagiarizing you at least once ;)
Yeah, thanks for the encouragement, dude, and CONGRATS!
(by the way, for those who don’t know, this is Wings from the forum)
Yeah, I currently have an interest in a certain human being from the fairer gender, and while I really, really hope she’s the right one for me, I’m still leaving it in God’s hands. I’ll trust Him to do what’s right for me.
Whatever happens, happens.
whoa, how did I get that avatar?
I don’t think I’ve ever uploaded that on this site…
what’s going on?
uh, you must have used the same email address as you have for another site that you used gravatar for
I see… I use it on facebook.
Congrats derek… I mean Tyler… lol. Anyways, pray for me, I am 22… loving life.
Without a potential lady in the foreseeable future for me… I am pursuing God.
I am willing to wait, your example is great to guys like me bro… peace.
Hey Len, you need a Gravatar. Go grab one!
Congrats Tyler! Amen to that. :)
Congrats!
I knew something was going to happen for you. Back when I first started posting on this site almost a year ago, I remember having a discussion with you about dating and I’m really glad to see you’ve remained faithful to the Lord. I’ll definitely give that scripture a read, too. I’ve read it before, but it never hurts to re-read His word. :)
