Spoken is currently in the writing process for their new album. Click below for the full update from Mat of Spoken including how they put an album together while living in 3 different states.
Hello everyone, This is Matt from Spoken. I’m sitting at one of my favorite coffee shops here in my homeland (Des Moines Ia.) working on some new Spoken material, and I wanted to say hello, and thank each of you for your support over the years. I also wanted to let you know what’s been going on the past few weeks. As alot of you know, we went over seas for a couple weeks, where we had the opportunity to make a bunch of new friends, and see the Countryside of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. We had a great time, and the shows were Amazing! Now, we’re at home writing a NEW Spoken record, and spending time with our family and friends. I’m pretty stoked about the new stuff. I think at least some of you will like it. It’s a blend of Old Spoken, New Spoken, and a few elements we haven’t added yet. That makes no sense, but it’s true. How are we writing this record as a band you ask? (Since we live in 3 different states) The wonder of myspace, Garage Band, and the beloved mp3. We record ideas, send them to the other band members, we each add our part, and hopefully it makes it to a finished song. Years ago when we decided we were going to move to different states, we said we would do whatever it took to make this band work, and as long as God wanted this band to be around, we would do whatever. Well…. we’re trying our best to do it. I hope you all have an Amazing Christmas, and i hope we get to see you soon. Also, if you want us to play your city, just email a contact to spokenbooking@gmail.com and we’ll see what we can do. I Love You Guys. Matspoken

2009 is going to be the one of the best years we have ever had for music. Just another reason right here why.
This makes me incredibly happy.
It seemed like their last album was very obscure. I rarely heard about it on line. That’s a shame. Of course I did like Last Chance To Breathe the most.
I’m excited about new Spoken!
