Settle The Sky’s Now That We’re Waiting EP released on iTunes on October 28th via Standby Records. Click below for description of the group and a tracklisting for their EP.
Hailing from Ohio this Christian rock outfit has fought their way out of the ordinary by finding a way to twist metalcore and unearth a sound that is all their own. Fusing complex rhythms, classical piano overtures, and of course breakdowns and two-steps, Settle the Sky packs a nice punch in their 6 song EP titled “Now That Were Waiting” recorded and mixed by Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Mychildren Mybride) to be released on Standby Records as an iTunes exclusive on October 28, 2008.
Formed in the summer of 2006, Settle the Sky is a band you will want to keep a close eye on. As they continue to grow, so does their sound. With each coming song is a progression of musicianship, experimentalism, and overall songwriting skills.
After one listen it is easy to see that their deeps beliefs are at the center of this group’s music. We want everyone who hears us to know that we stand for something more than just music.” says keyboardist JD Merrill. “The darkness in our music is our way of remembering the light we’re given.”
Ready to stake their claim as more than just musicians, Settle the Sky will not leave you disappointed.
