No. It is not.
I can’t wait for this movie as long as it isn’t cheesy. Blue Like Jazz is my favorite book so it’ll be hard for me to compare as it appears they will be very different. I hope it works out well though.
I just hope it isn’t crap.
Oh, it’s Steve Taylor…..
The book was amazing!
@Brandon: what’s that supposed to mean?
I liked the book.
@Tobias
Steve Taylor = the director of the movie.
Steve Taylor = my good friend. (not the director)
Different people.
Sharing is caring.
i thought Steve Taylor was the Newsboys song writer
Steve Taylor used to run Squint Records which had Sixpence None the Richer and Chevelle, then they went under. I think Sixpence was still tied to a contract even though the label went under. Anyway.
It’s one of my favorite books. But, it’s hard to imagine it as a movie… well, I guess we will have to wait and see. If it turns out to be a good movie though, Miller’s words could reach a lot more people because in today’s society movies generally gain more attention than books, sad but true. Hopefully it turns out good.
I hope Twilight reaches a lot of people with it’s message of Vampires. haha. Seriously, are any of our readers going to see Twilight this weekend?
not this weekend…but…vampires suck less than blue like jazz
I don’t see how anyone could not like that book it was something anybody could identify with in my opinion. Donald Miller is a genius and truly a man after Gods heart.
I’m a little clueless but what exactly is Blue Like Jazz all about? I’ve never even heard of the book.
I loved the book.
Not keen on the idea of a movie.
I liked the book – it was very refreshing.
As for how one could turn it into a movie and preserve the really understated/abstract tone it carries, I would have no idea.
It would be interesting to see.
