Yesterday I posted a long, drawn-out review of Spark, the second CD by electro whiz-kid Amohalko, who just happened to be the bassist for a worship team I played with. He also happens to be a freshman in high school, which makes this sophomore epic all the more impressive. But I grant you my own possible bias. So Carson Sestili, the mastermind behind the moniker, is joining with IVM to let you decide for yourself. You can download Spark in its entirety totally free at the link below. But first, a note from the artist:
Hey, hey. My name is Carson Sestili, but I call myself “Amohalko” to feel more important than I actually am. I arrange sound waves in such a way that many people call it “music.” Yep.
You downloaded my second album, entitled Spark. It contains eleven songs, and the final track is me saying stuff about the album.
If you lived close to me, you would have had to pay $5 for a CD of the stuff you just downloaded. But because you frequent Indie Vision Music, you get it for free! Let the celebrations commence!
Anyway. I don’t care what you do with any of these audio files. They’re in 320 kbps mp3 format. What that means is that it’s almost perfect quality; in fact, unless you’ve got a freakin’ sweet stereo system you won’t be able to tell the difference between this sound and the sound that came out of FL Studio when I was making it. Also, because it’s in mp3 format, you can open them in any audio editor (and many other programs) and do whatever you want with them. Just make sure you give credit to me somehow, or something along those lines.
One request though. If you think what you hear is cool, then let your friends know about it. Or maybe your relatives. You could even walk up to some dude and tell him about my music or something. Just make sure you let people know about me. And if you don’t like it, well, then do the same thing and rant about how terrible it is. Or whatever.
I frequent Myspace more than once a day. My profile is located at myspace.com/fansofcdawg and I’m always up for friend requests, comments, or PM’s. Also, my e-mail address is those.aged.hands@hotmail.com, so if you’d like to say hi, that would be cool too.
I hope you enjoy my music.

I know from personal experience that Carson is a very lonely guy (jaykay), so he really will value any thoughts, emails, or MySpace messages with links to information about getting money from Nigerian princes because of “red tape” that you send him. Enjoy Spark, and as always, thanks for supporting independent music in general.

Brandon, do you want to put this on the IVM server, or is SendSpace good?
Whoa, thanks! There has been quite a lot of free stuff being offered here on IVM recently, and I’m loving it! What a treat!
I like it. Thanks Headless and Amohalko!
I missed this. I’ll listen to it and decide whether to put it on the server. I have like 1GB of disk space left then we’re maxed out.
This is worth it. He should send this to Plastiq Musiq or something! I’m sure whoever’s running it now (I don’t think Ronnie is anymore) would be glad to ink a deal.
It really is that good.^
This is sweet!!!
Oh and if anyone uses Last.fm feel free to expand on his description. I wrote it but i don’t hink it’s too good. =/
