no chem6a? what type of best of is this?
What happened to “Happy Is a Yuppie Word”,
“We Are One Tonight”,and “Head Over Heels”? Especially “We Are One Tonight”.
Unbelievable.
Exactly, no Chem 6A?!?!? No Let That Be Enough? No Twenty Four?
there will also be a deluxe edition of this release which will include a DVD of some sort. more details to come.
Wooooooooooooow.
Bad.
Here are just a few they missed a little:
Chem6A, Happy is a Yuppie Word, We Are Young Tonight, Lonely Nation (Wow, that one hurts), New Way To Be Human, You Already Take Me There, More Than Fine, etc., etc. (And the list doesn’t end there.)
i don’t think any o!g stuff should be on there. though the 2 cuts from that album are 2 of the better ones of of o!g. they should switch em out w/ older songs.
happy is a yuppie word is one of my all-time favorite songs.
the pre-production version of awakening was much better. it had a cool harmonica part. i was at the show where they first played it live.
With all the great songs available to choose from, I am simply amazed at the condensed list! There’s no way any Switchfoot fan could pick their own fifteen to go on a record. I know- I’ve tried to make a playlist for my mp3 and it’s hard to leave any song out of the mix!!!
Right now and in the future I’m gonna miss seeing: Happy Is A Yuppie Word, Lonely Nation, 24, Chem 6A (like others mentioned) and a few other songs on this CD.
This Is Home is NOT one of their best. At all. I wonder who chose this list… I guess Columbia picked all the hits and basics.
I mean those ARE great Sf songs, definitely, I just wish fans had more of a say in it, haha. Unlikely with Columbia Records, though.
But on a lighter note, HOLLER to Switchfoot. They’re in the age in the music industry that they’ve made it to Greatest Hits status. Wow! Congratulations. :) Those are some amazing songs for a band to have under their belt.
Actually, Tim from Switchfoot posted the actual list, which is all these songs and 3 more: Lonely Nation, Twenty-Four, and Dirty Second Hands…..
I agree, if concrete girl is there, then happy is a yuppie word should be in there as well. And 24?
the revised “tim” list was posted on IVM
just search switchfoot on the site and it will come up
i have mine
